Cóndor Tuco or Condortuco (possibly from Quechua kuntur condor, t'uqu a niche, hole or gap in the wall, [2] "condor niche") is a mountain in the Vilcanota mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,550 metres (18,209 ft) high. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, Pitumarca District. [3] [4] Cóndor Tuco lies between the Chillcamayu in the west and the lake named Sibinacocha in the east, south of Jatunhuma, Huayruro Punco and Comercocha.

Condor name for two species of vultures

Condor is the common name for two species of New World vultures, each in a monotypic genus. The name derives from the Quechua kuntur. They are the largest flying land birds in the Western Hemisphere.

Andes mountain range running along the tu mamide of South America

The Andes or Andean Mountains are the longest continental mountain range in the world, forming a continuous highland along the western edge of South America. This range is about 7,000 km (4,300 mi) long, about 200 to 700 km wide, and of an average height of about 4,000 m (13,000 ft). The Andes extend from north to south through seven South American countries: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.

Lake Singrenacocha or Sigrenacocha is a lake in Peru located in the Cusco Region, Quispicanchi Province, Ocongate District. It is situated at a height of about 4,377 metres (14,360 ft), about 3.82 km long and 0.88 km at its widest point. Singrenacocha lies in the Vilcanota mountain range, northwest of the larger Lake Sibinacocha and north of the Callangate massif.

Huayruro Punco mountain in Peru

Huayruro Punco is a mountain in the Vilcanota mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,550 metres (18,209 ft) high. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, Pitumarca District. Huayruro Punco lies southeast of Callangate, southwest of Chumpe and north of Cóndor Tuco and Comercocha, between the Chillcamayu which originates near Huayruro Punco and the lake named Sibinacocha.

Jatunhuma mountain in Peru

Comercocha (Canchis) mountain in Peru

Comercocha is a mountain in the Vilcanota mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,400 metres (17,717 ft) high. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, Pitumarca District. Comercocha lies west of the lake Sibinacocha and the mountain Pichacani, between the mountain Huayruro Punco in the northeast and the Cóndor Tuco in the south.

Jatun Pucacocha is a lake in Peru located in the Cusco Region, Quispicanchi Province, Ocongate District. It is about 0.9 km long and 0.58 km at its widest point. Jatun Pucacocha lies southwest of the mountain Ausangate of the Vilcanota mountain range, between the lakes Uchuy Pucacocha in the northwest and Pucacocha in the southeast.

Runkuraqay mountain in Peru

Runkuraqay or Runku Raqay is an archaeological site on a mountain of the same name in Peru located in the Cusco Region, Urubamba Province, Machupicchu District. It is situated southeast of the archaeological site Machu Picchu and south of the Vilcanota river. The ruins lie on the southern slope of the mountain Runkuraqay near the Runkuraqay pass, northeast of the archaeological site Sayacmarca and southeast of the site Qunchamarka.

Huarurumicocha is a lake in the Vilcanota mountain range in Peru. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Quispicanchi Province, Ocongate District. The lake lies north-east of the mountain Hatunuma and west of the mountain Chumpe.

Chillcamayu which upstream is called Jampamayo and downstream Pitumarca is a river in Peru located in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, in the districts Checacupe and Pitumarca. Its waters flow to the Vilcanota River.

Chuallani

Orco Puñuna lies south of the mountain Othaña and southwest of the mountains Cóndor Tuco, Chuallani and Yana Orjo.

Othaña is a mountain in the western extensions of the Vilcanota mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,200 metres (17,060 ft) high. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, Pitumarca District, east of Sibinacocha. Othaña lies southwest of Cóndor Tuco and Chuallani, west of Yana Orjo and north of Orco Puñuna.

Condorsenja (Quispicanchi) mountain in Peru

Condorsenja is mountain in the northern extensions of the Vilcanota mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 4,800 metres (15,748 ft) high. It is located in the Cusco Region, Quispicanchi Province, on the border of the districts of Ccarhuayo and Ocongate. The mountain lies southwest of Jolljepunco and Cinajara where the annual Quyllu Rit'i festival takes place. Yuracjaja and Jajachaca are southeast of Condorsenja.

Pucajasa (Canchis)

Pucajasa is a 5,165-metre-high (16,946 ft) mountain in the Vilcanota mountain range in the Andes of Peru. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, Pitumarca District. Pucajasa lies west of Cóndor Tuco. The Killitamayu flows along its slope.

Yanacucho mountain in Peru

Yanacucho is a mountain in the Vilcanota mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,000 m (16,000 ft) high. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Canchis Province, Pitumarca District. Yanacucho lies southwest of the mountain named Comercocha and northwest of Cóndor Tuco.
