George Edward "Butch" Byrd is an American former football cornerback who played in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Boston University Terriers and was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round of the 1964 AFL draft.

John Anthony Randle is an American former professional football defensive tackle who played eleven seasons for the Minnesota Vikings and three seasons for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was a six-time first-team All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowler. Since becoming an official stat in 1982, his 137.5 sacks rank tenth, tied with Richard Dent, and first among defensive tackles. On February 6, 2010, he was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He played college football for the Trinity Valley Cardinals and the Texas A&I Javelinas, and was signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent after the 1990 NFL draft. He is considered one of the greatest undrafted players of all time.
William Ferdie Brown was an American professional football player, coach and administrator. He played as a cornerback for the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders of the American Football League (AFL) and later in the National Football League (NFL). Following his playing career, Brown remained with the Raiders as an assistant coach. He served as the head football coach at California State University, Long Beach in 1991, the final season before the school's football program was terminated. Brown was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a player in 1984. At the time of his death he was on the Raiders' administrative staff.

Thomas was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame after being nominated by the Seniors Committee.

He played college football at Northwest Missouri State. Wand also played for the Tennessee Titans and Florida Tuskers. In 2021, he was inducted to the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Hall of Fame. In 2023, it was announced Wand would be inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.

The 1960 NFL draft in which NFL teams take turns selecting amateur college American football players and other first-time eligible players, was held at the Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia on November 30, 1959. Many players, including half of those drafted in the first round, signed with teams in the newly created American Football League, including the first overall pick and Heisman Trophy winner Billy Cannon. At the time of the draft, the Cardinals were still the Chicago Cardinals; they moved to St. Louis in March 1960. The Dallas Cowboys were enfranchised in January 1960 after the draft.
Steven Cyril DeLong was an American football defensive lineman who played professionally in the American Football League (AFL) and the National Football League (NFL). He was a first round draft selection in both the AFL and NFL Drafts in 1965. He played collegiately for the University of Tennessee, and professionally for the San Diego Chargers and Chicago Bears. In 1969 with San Diego, he set a team record with 17 sacks, a mark which stood until Gary Johnson had 17+1⁄2 in 1980. He was traded from the Chargers to the Bears on July 26, 1972, for a fourth-round selection in the 1973 NFL draft.
Curtis Cliff "Chip" Kell was an American professional football player who was a center in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football and participated in track and field for the Tennessee Volunteers. Kell was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
Arthur George Demmas was an American football official for 28 seasons. He worked in the American Football League (AFL) in 1968 and 1969, and in the National Football League (NFL) from 1970 to 1996. During his career, Demmas was assigned to four Super Bowls, all as an umpire. On the field, Demmas wore uniform number 78, which is now worn by Greg Meyer. He served as a league representative and observer for the NFL and worked as a trainer for NFL officials. In 1997, he was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. Demmas was an executive in the National Football Foundation (NFF), and became head of its Middle Tennessee chapter. The organization determines who will be in the College Football Hall of Fame.
