The DCG Brothers are an American hip hop duo based in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The group is made up of two brothers, known by their stage names DCG Shun and DCG BSavv. The initials "DCG" in their name is said to stand for "Dreams Conquer Goals". [1] [2]

In early 2021, the DCG Brothers released singles such as "Mmh m" featuring instrumental production by Chicago producer Spvnkonnabeat, [3] as well as their collaboration "Rivals" with fellow Chicago artist Calboy. [4]
In June 2021, the duo signed a record deal with Atlantic Records and Chicago media company No More Heroes followed by the release of their debut single "House Party" on the Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel. [5] Later in the year the duo went on to perform their single "Mmhmm" at Lollapalooza alongside fellow Chicago artist G Herbo. [6] [7]
Throughout 2022, the duo performed on tour alongside fellow Chicago artist and frequent collaborator G Herbo. [8] Later in the year they released their debut mixtape Jungle Life, which included features from several artists such as G Herbo, BIG 30 and B-Lovee.[ citation needed ] Near the end of December, the duo released their single "Bond Hold" featuring video production by No More Heroes. Polo Grounds Music is a hip hop and R&B record label, distributed by Sony Music's RCA Records. Founded in 2006 by Bryan Leach, Polo Grounds Music is a full-service entertainment company with a focus in publishing, management, marketing and promotions.
Drill is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in Chicago in the early 2010s. It is sonically similar to the trap music subgenre and lyrically similar to the gangsta rap subgenre. Early drill artists are noted for their explicit, confrontational style of lyricism and association with crime in Chicago, especially the Black Disciples and Gangster Disciples. The genre progressed into the American mainstream in 2012 following the success of pioneering rappers like Chief Keef, Lil Reese, Lil Durk, Fredo Santana, G Herbo, Lil Bibby and King Louie, who had many local fans and a significant internet presence alongside producer Young Chop. Other rappers, such as Edai, L'A Capone, RondoNumbaNine, SD, FBG Duck, Lil Jojo and producer Leek-E-Leek also contributed to the early drill scene. As the audience grew, media attention and the signing of drill musicians to major labels followed. After the initial momentum of the subgenre subsided, Chicago drill saw a resurgence in the late 2010s and early 2020s with trailblazing artists such as King Von, Polo G, Calboy and a renewed Lil Durk.
Herbert Randall Wright III, better known by his stage name G Herbo, is an American rapper. Wright signed to the Chicago-based record label Machine Entertainment Group in 2011 at the age of 16. Through the label, he released his debut mixtape Welcome to Fazoland (2014), followed by Pistol P Project (2014), Ballin Like I'm Kobe (2015), and Strictly 4 My Fans (2016). His debut studio album, Humble Beast (2017) was released through Cinematic Music Group and received critical acclaim. His collaborative album with record producer Southside, Swervo (2018) served his first major label release through Epic Records; its sequel, Still Swervin (2019) served as Wright's second album. His third album, PTSD (2020) peaked within the top ten of the Billboard 200 upon release, likewise with his fourth and fifth albums, 25 (2021) and Survivor's Remorse (2022); 25 marked his first project with Republic Records.
Strictly 4 My Fans is the fourth mixtape by American rapper G Herbo. It was released on November 24, 2016. Unlike his other mixtapes that were made for free download, this one was up for purchase.
Navraj Singh Goraya, known professionally as Nav, is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Nav originally began his career as a producer, co-producing fellow Canadian rapper Drake's single, "Back to Back", in 2015. He then gained mainstream attention in 2016 when his song "Myself" went viral on SoundCloud. Nav is signed to Canadian singer the Weeknd's record label XO and its parent label, Republic Records, and is managed by XO managers Amir "Cash" Esmailian and Wassim "Sal" Slaiby.
Jarad Anthony Higgins, known professionally as Juice Wrld, was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Throughout his career of four years, he was a leading figure in the emo rap and SoundCloud rap genres which garnered mainstream attention during the mid-to-late 2010s. His stage name, which he stated represents "taking over the world", was derived from the crime thriller film Juice (1992).
Isaiah Rivera, known professionally as Wifisfuneral, is an American rapper from West Palm Beach, Florida. Best known for his association with fellow South Florida rapper XXXTentacion, he was chosen as part of XXL magazine's Annual Freshman Class in 2018. That same year, he signed with Interscope Records, although he released no major projects under the label. In early 2020, Wifisfuneral announced his retirement; however, this proved to be short-lived as he released his debut studio album, Pain? in August of that year.
Calvin Lashon Woods, professionally known as Calboy, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. In 2017, Calvin had a break through locally with his mixtapes released through Paper Gang Inc., Anxiety and Calboy, the Wild Boy.
Quantavious Tavario Thomas, known professionally as Young Nudy, is an American rapper. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, he is best known for his collaborations with his cousin and fellow rapper 21 Savage, as well as record producer Pi'erre Bourne. Thomas signed with RCA Records to release his debut studio album Anyways (2020), which was followed up with Dr. Ev4l (2021), Rich Shooter (2021), EA Monster (2022), and Gumbo (2023). The latter spawned the hit single "Peaches and Eggplants", which peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Taurus Tremani Bartlett, known professionally as Polo G, is an American rapper. He rose to prominence with his singles "Finer Things" and "Pop Out". His debut album Die a Legend (2019) peaked at number six on the US Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
"RNP" is a song by American rapper Cordae featuring fellow American rapper Anderson .Paak. It was released on July 23, 2019, as the third single from Cordae's debut studio album The Lost Boy (2019). Written by the artists alongside producer J. Cole, It was Cordae's highest-charting song, until the release of "Gifted" featuring Roddy Ricch.
Colson Michael "Cole" Bennett is an American music video director, videographer, and music producer. He is the founder of the multimedia company Lyrical Lemonade, which he started in 2013 as an Internet blog.
Brooklyn drill is a regional subgenre of drill music, which is a subgenre of rap music. It centered in Brooklyn, New York, that began as derivative of the drill music scene in Chicago and later became derivative of UK drill with its 808 percussion and sliding notes by producers from the UK drill scene. Brooklyn drill emerged around 2014 with the single "Hot Nigga" from the rapper Bobby Shmurda. Other early contributors were Rowdy Rebel, Bam Bino, Money Millz, Dah Dah and Curly Savv.
"Lemonade" is a song by American hip hop collective and record label Internet Money and American rappers Gunna and Don Toliver featuring Canadian rapper Nav. It was released as the second single from Internet Money's debut studio album, B4 the Storm, on August 14, 2020. The song was produced by Internet Money producers Taz Taylor, Nick Mira, Alec Wigdahl, E-Trou, and Pharaoh Vice, who all wrote it with the rappers alongside John Mitchell, Jozzy, and Donny Flores. On September 14, 2022, it was included as the sole bonus track on Nav's fourth studio album, Demons Protected by Angels, which was released five days before. The official music video premiered later the same day as the song on Lyrical Lemonade and followed a SpongeBob SquarePants theme. The first remix of the song added a verse from Toliver along with another verse from fellow American rapper Roddy Ricch, omitting Gunna and Nav; this was released on September 30, 2020 and was included on the complete edition of B4 the Storm. The second and final remix, titled the Latin remix, adds Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA to the original song and was released on November 20, 2020.
Built for Whatever is the third studio album by American rapper Tee Grizzley. It was released through Atlantic Records and 300 Entertainment on May 7, 2021. The album features guest appearances from the late King Von, Quavo, Young Dolph, YNW Melly, Lil Durk, Lil Tjay, Grizzley's younger brother Baby Grizzley, G Herbo, Allstar Lee, Mu, and Big Sean. Production was handled by Chopsquad DJ, Hit-Boy, and Helluva.
"Straightenin" is a song by American hip hop trio Migos. It was released through Quality Control and Motown on May 14, 2021, as the second single from their fourth studio album, Culture III. Straightenin was the Migos last single to be released before the death of their member Takeoff the next year in 2022.
"Who Want Smoke?" is a song by American rapper Nardo Wick. It was released through Flawless Entertainment and RCA Records as a single on January 22, 2021. A remix, which features G Herbo, Lil Durk, and 21 Savage, was released on October 8, 2021. The original was certified platinum by the RIAA in November 2021. The song is included on Wick's debut album, Who Is Nardo Wick?, released on December 3, 2021.
Horace Bernard Walls III, known professionally as Nardo Wick, is an American rapper from Jacksonville, Florida. He signed with RCA Records in 2021 and gained mainstream recognition following the commercial release of his single "Who Want Smoke?" in January of that year. The song spawned a remix featuring rappers G Herbo, Lil Durk, and 21 Savage, which peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and received platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His debut studio album, Who Is Nardo Wick? (2021) was released in December of that same year and peaked at number 17 on the Billboard 200.
Kevin Perez, known professionally as Kay Flock, is an American rapper of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent. Hailing from the Bronx, he began his musical career in 2020, he rose to fame through a variety of singles, most notably "Shake It". He released his debut mixtape, The D.O.A. Tape, in 2021.
Demauris Merchant Johnson, better known by his stage name Spenzo, is an American rapper from Chicago. Spenzo is best known from his single "Wife 'Er" and from his collaborations with artists such as Young Thug, G Herbo and King Louie.
