DJ D.O.C. is a South Korean hip-hop trio consisting of members Kim Chang-yeol, Lee Ha-neul and Jung Jae-yong. DJ D.O.C. stands for Dream Of Children. DJ DOC released their first album, Sorrow of Superman, in 1994. During a time when Korean hip hop was still largely underground, they went on to experience great commercial success and many of their singles, including "Dance with DOC" (1997) and "Run to You" (2000) are now considered well-known iconic K-pop songs. Initially an underground group, DJ DOC became known to mainstream audiences for the satirical content of their lyrics, which often criticized societal injustices and overtly used profanity. It garnered them both popularity and criticism during the mid to late 1990s; their songs became well known to a younger generation already disgruntled with the government's strict censorship rules regarding free speech but was also censored by radio and television stations for the provocative lyrics. History

The original band debuted with Park Jung-hwan, but he left the group after the release of the first album due to disagreement between the members. After his departure, he started his own car dealership. [5]

On November 11, 2011, Park Jung-hwan formally filed a lawsuit against DJ DOC for defamation after comments made by Lee Ha-neul regarding his departure on a television appearance aired November 3, 2011 on Happy Together Season 3. [5] [6]

Despite several apologies made by Lee Ha-neul, the lawsuit was not rescinded. On February 22, 2012, DJ Doc was cleared of the defamation charges for lack of evidence. [5] [6] [7]

During periods of hiatus, Lee and Kim have been engaged in solo activities. Kim hosts the popular radio show Old School (ko) on SBS Love FM. On August 9, 2013, Lee became a judge for season 5 of South Korean television talent show Superstar K. [8] In 2015 they made a guest appearance in the music video of "Tell Me One More Time", the comeback single of their counterparts Jinusean. [9]

DJ DOC was one of fifteen artists or groups, including the likes of Insooni, 2PM and Kim Tae-woo, headlining the medal ceremony aftershow for each day of the 2018 Winter Olympics. [10]

Before he made his debut, he became popular with his hit OST "If It Was You (너였다면)". Throughout his career, he has released several OSTs that have charted. Chapter 8 is the eighth studio album by South Korean pop music group g.o.d. It was released in July 2014 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut and mark their reunion as a five-man group after nearly a decade of hiatus. The repackaged edition was released in October and features an additional CD containing a new single "Wind" (바람). Chapter 8 was awarded Album of the Year at the 2014 Melon Music Awards.

<i>1×1=1 (To Be One)</i> 2017 EP by Wanna One

1×1=1 is the debut extended play by South Korean boy group Wanna One, a project group created through the 2017 Mnet survival show, Produce 101 Season 2, composed of eleven trainees from different entertainment companies that will promote for 18 months under YMC Entertainment. The album was released digitally and physically on August 7, 2017, by YMC Entertainment, Stone Music Entertainment and CJ E&M Music. A Japanese version of the album was released on September 27, 2017, through Pony Canyon. The album was re-released under the title 1−1=0 on November 13, 2017.

Kim Jong-hwan is a South Korean singer, referred to as the "Emperor of the Adult Ballad," for his popularity among middle-aged fans. He debuted in 1985 with the album, I Have No Place to Rest, and is known for pop ballads including, "Reason for Existence," and "One Hundred Year Promise."

Kim Jae-hwan, known mononymously as Jaehwan (재환), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, known for finishing fourth in Produce 101. He is a former member of the South Korean boy group Wanna One. As the group promoted for a year and a half, it achieved both critical and commercial success with all four of its albums topping South Korea's Gaon Album Chart and all five of its lead singles ranking in the top three of South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart.
