Michael Babatunde Adeyinka, also known as DJ Tunez, is a Nigerian-American disc jockey. In 2015, DJ Tunez signed to Wizkid's record label Starboy Entertainment. [1] DJ Tunez's first production was in 2016's "Iskaba", a "contagiously upbeat track" featuring Wande Coal. [2] He has collaborated with other acts such as Wizkid, Sarz, Burna Boy, Busiswa, Reekado Banks, Damibliz, Omah Lay, and many more.[ citation needed ]

Early life

Michael Babatunde Adeyinka was born on May 10, 1989, [3] [4] and raised in South Brooklyn. [5] His dream began after DJing his local church's Christmas parties as a teen. This eventually grew into paid gigs DJing church members’ events such as birthday parties and weddings. [6] [ citation needed ]

His African community in South Brooklyn began to take a fancy to his ability to play music with an afrobeats and dancehall-inspired atmosphere; the attention encouraged him to throw parties around the city.[ citation needed ]

Career

In 2016, DJ Tunez collaborated with Wande Coal to release ‘Iskaba’, which was listed in Okayafrica's Best Songs of 2017. [7]

A Black Friday “Blackout” party from DJ Tunez [8] brought about 1,700 people to QueensAmazura Concert Hall in November 2019. [9]

Featured as a guest panelist at a business forum held at Columbia University in 2019, Adeyinka joined other leaders in the music industry to discuss the business of art and literature on the African continent. The panel was moderated by special guest design and technology executive Olufeko. [10]

Eric Isaac Utere, known professionally as LeriQ, is a Nigerian record producer and songwriter. He is currently signed to Spaceship Records, through Spaceship Collective. He achieved recognition for his work on Burna Boy's 2012 single Like To Party, and went on to produce the singer's debut album L.I.F.E (2013), and Twice as Tall (2020), which earned him an award at the 63rd Grammy ceremony.

Praise Onyeagwalam known professionally as Director Pink is a Nigerian music video director, cinematographer and film director. She directed the music video "Running To You" and "Abracadabra”. She is also the founder of "Pinkline Films", a Nigerian film company.

Alexander Uwaifo known professionally as Andre Vibez is a Nigerian music producer and songwriter. He is best known for producing "Rush" from Ayra Starr's album 19 & Dangerous and Rema international hit single “Calm Down” which peaked at number one on the India IMI International chart and also peak no.3 on Billboard Hot 100. In September 2022, he was announced as one of the new signed record producers of the Nigerian record label, Mavin Records.
