The Dhaka Metropolitan Football Association Cup or DMFA Cup was an association football tournament held in Dhaka and organized by Dhaka Metropolitan League Committee under the supervision of the Bangladesh Football Federation. [1] [2] [3]

Daily Janakantha is a Bengali daily newspaper published from Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is owned by Janakantha Shilpa Paribar (GJSP). This newspaper was first published on 21 February 1993. Mohammad Atikullah Khan Masud was the editor of the newspaper till his death. In 1999 Bangladesh army personnel had to defuse a landmine left at the newspaper office by suspected Islamist militants. The newspaper has a Secular to Liberal political leaning and is published in both print and online versions.
Pogose Laboratory School and College, IER, Jagannath University was established in Dhaka on June 12, 1848, as the first private school of the country by Armenian merchant Nicholas Pogose, who was an ex-student of Dhaka Collegiate School. It is located at Chittaranjan Avenue. The school was managed as a proprietary institution and in 1871, about a year after the death of Pogose, it was taken over by Mohini Mohan Das, a banker and zamindar. After the death of Das in 1896 his estate kept the school open.
Bhaskar Ganguly is a former Indian football goalkeeper from West Bengal. He was the captain of India national football team which participated in the 1982 Asian Games held in New Delhi.

He won Meril Prothom Alo Awards for critics' choice Best TV Actor for his role in the TV drama Jog Biyog in (2016) and he wrote story and singing debut for director Kajal Arifin Omi's TV drama Muthophone (2019). He also won Meril Prothom Alo Awards for Best TV Actor for his role in Punorjonmo (2021). He made his debut film as a lead Surongo (2023) directed by Raihan Rafi.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel, abbreviated asBangabandhu Tunnel, is an underwater expressway tunnel in the port city of Chittagong, Bangladesh under the Karnaphuli river. The length of the entire route is 9.39 kilometres (5.83 mi), with the tunnel making up 3.32 kilometres (2.06 mi) of the length. The tunnel diameter is 10.80 metres (35.4 ft). It is expected, over 17,000 vehicles will be able to use this tunnel daily. The cost of the project is estimated at US$1.1B, of which around half is financed by the Exim Bank of China. The Karnaphuli Tunnel is the first underwater road tunnel in South Asia. It is expected to improve the Dhaka—Chittagong—Cox's Bazar highway network. A Chinese company, China Communications Construction Company, was selected to construct it. The tunnel segments were produced in Zhenjiang, China.
Victoria Sporting Club, commonly known as Victoria SC, is a football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Founded in 1903, the club competes in the Dhaka Senior Division League, the third tier of football in Bangladesh. They were relegated from the Bangladesh Championship League, in 2021.
"O Amar Desher Mati" is a Bengali patriotic song written by Rabindranath Tagore. It was written against the Partition of Bengal in 1905. Indira Debi Chowdhurani provided the notation of the song. This song was included in the book named "Shawdesh". It was composed in Pilu-Baul Raga and Dadra Taal.
Nuruzzaman Nayan is a Bangladeshi retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper, and is the goalkeeping coach of Bashundhara Kings. As the first-ever Bangladeshi Goalkeeping Coach, he has achieved Goalkeeping Level 1 in 2016 in Nepal, Goalkeeping Level 2 in 2019 in Australia, and obtained a Goalkeeping A Diploma in 2024 in Malaysia. This is the first time a Goalkeeper Coach from Bangladesh has received such a highest-level certificate.He was the goalkeeper coach of Bangladesh in 2021 SAFF Championship.
Biplob Kumar Sarker is a Bangladeshi police officer. He is currently Joint Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Earlier he served as Additional Deputy Inspector General of Bangladesh Police Dhaka Range. In addition he achieved the title of best DC of DMP several times.
