DXOO (97.5 FM), broadcasting as FM Radio General Santos is a radio station owned by Nation Broadcasting Corporation and operated by Philippine Collective Media Corporation. It currently serves as a relay station of FM Radio 92.3 in Manila. The station's transmitter is located at PLDT Building, Beatiles Street, General Santos. [1] [2]
The station began operations in 1976 as MRS 97.5, airing an adult contemporary format. In 1998, after NBC was acquired by PLDT subsidiary MediaQuest Holdings, the station rebranded as Anna @ Rhythms 97.5 (later on shortened to Anna 97.5) and switched to a Top 40 format. In 2009, it rebranded as WAV FM. On February 21, 2011, months after TV5 took over operations of the stations, it became a relay station of 92.3 Radyo5 in Manila, the flagship station branded as Radyo5 under the News FM sub-brand, which later transitioned to True FM in 2023. On November 4, 2024, the flagship station rebranded Favorite Music Radio 92.3 as part of NBC's agreement with Philippine Collective Media Corporation (PCMC), wherein PCMC will lease and eventually acquire most of NBC's radio assets and frequencies, except for its Cebu and Cagayan de Oro stations.
