Daegu Arts University is a South Korean private university specializing in training for the fine arts. Its campus is located a short distance north of Daegu metropolitan city,in Gasan-myeon of Chilgok County,North Gyeongsang province. About 35 instructors are employed. The current president is Lee Seong-geun (이성근).
The university's academic offerings are divided among divisions of Artistic Theory,Design Theory,Music Theory,and Multimedia Photography Theory.
The school first opened as Daegu Arts College in 1993. It became a university in 1996.

North Gyeongsang Province is a province in eastern South Korea, and with an area of 19,030 km2 (7,350 sq mi), it is the largest province in the Korean peninsula. Yeungnam University is a private research university located in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang, South Korea. The university's predecessors, Taegu College and Chunggu College, were founded in Daegu in 1947 and 1950 respectively. In 1967, the two colleges were merged by President Park Chung Hee to form Yeungnam University. In 1972, the university's new main campus opened in Gyeongsan east of Daegu. The university includes colleges of Law and Medicine as well as a university hospital. It ranked 1st in the rate for passing the bar exam for the second straight year (2015~2016), it also ranked 6th in providing CEOs in Korea's top 100 companies (2015), and 6th in providing the CEOs in Companies listed on KOSDAQ (2014). Yeungnam University is ranked 501 in the Academic Ranking of World Universities by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Gyeongsan is satellite city in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. Its western border abuts the metropolitan city of Daegu, and much of Gyeongsan lies within the Daegu metropolitan area.
Sangju is a city in North Gyeongsang Province, central South Korea. Although Sangju is rather rural, it is very old and was once a key city. Along with Gyeongju, it gives rise to half of the name of the Gyeongsang provinces. Sangju is nicknamed Sam Baek, or "Three Whites", referring to three prominent agricultural products rice, silkworm cocoons, and dried persimmons from the area.

Daegu Mirae College was a private college located in Gyeongsan City, South Korea, which neighbors the metropolitan city of Daegu. About 80 instructors were employed. In January 2018 Ministry of Education granted its voluntary closure which it filed for financial difficulties after receiving the lowest grade in Ministry's evaluation several times. It officially closed in the following month.

In 2018 Ministry of Education ordered closure of the university due to its significant finance troubles and corruption of the founders and leadership after the special audit conducted following the lowest evaluation the university received in 2015.
