Pontypridd Rugby Football Club is a rugby union team from Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. It competes in the Indigo Group Premiership, that it won for four consecutive seasons between 2012 and 2015, and the WRU National Cup, that it has won on 6 different occasions, the most recent being in 2014.
Neath Rugby Football Club is a Welsh rugby union club which plays in the Indigo Premiership for Season 2023/24. The club's home ground is The Gnoll, Neath. The team is known as the All Blacks because of the team colours: black with only a white cross pattée as an emblem. Neath RFC is the oldest rugby club in Wales, having been formed in 1871. They are feeder club to the Ospreys regional team.
Dafydd Rhys James is a Welsh former rugby union footballer who played on the wing or in the centre. He toured with the British & Irish Lions in 2001. James was born in Mufulira, Zambia, but earned 48 caps for Wales and three for the British & Irish Lions. At club level, he played for Bridgend, Pontypridd, Llanelli, Celtic Warriors, Harlequins, Scarlets, Cardiff Blues and Sale Sharks.

Matthew Rees is a Welsh former professional rugby union footballer who played as a hooker. After beginning his career with Tonyrefail RFC and Merthyr RFC, he made his professional debut for Pontypridd RFC in 2001. With the arrival of regional rugby in Wales in 2003, he joined the Celtic Warriors, but their closure a year later led to him signing for the Llanelli Scarlets. He played more than 180 matches for the Scarlets, captaining them on several occasions, leading to his first Wales call-up in 2005.
Richard Johnston first started his career at Neath RFC in 1998 where he gained representative honours for Wales under 18/19s. In 2000 Johnston signed for Pontypridd RFC where he spent three years. In his time at Ponty, Johnston was selected for Wales U21s and Wales 7s and was involved in the squad that won the Welsh Cup in 2002 and narrowly lost to Sale in the Parker Pen European Shield Final. After regional rugby was formed he returned to Neath RFC winning the league twice and Welsh Cup in a three-year stint. Johnston then changed codes, signing for Crusader RL and won 4 caps for Wales. He also played on the 7s circuit playing for Samurai 7s, White Hart Marauders, Crusaders and Scorpions. In 2003, he returned to rugby union, playing for the Llanelli Scarlets in their first season as a regional side; he made two appearances in February 2004. In 2007 Johnston left rugby to pursue a career outside sport but continues to play on the 7s circuit and now vets competitions.
Lee Jarvis is a former international Welsh rugby union player who was known as a top points scorer with the boot. His career has been spent in both Wales and England including top level rugby in Wales and in the Celtic League, winning a number of trophies in both countries. He has represented Wales from school level to full international honours as well as being selected by the Barbarians. Despite being tipped as the "next best thing" during his early career and being a great points kicker Jarvis only earned one cap for Wales at full international level. After retiring from rugby union as a player, Jarvis took up coaching. He is currently head coach at Rhydyfelin RFC.
Lyn Jones is a former Wales international rugby union player. Originally playing as a flanker, Jones subsequently became a coach. He played most of his playing career for Neath RFC and started his coaching career at the same club. Jones has coached professional clubs in Wales and England and, in 2018, became head coach of the Russian national rugby union team. He subsequently beame a coach with national rugby team of the Netherlands.
Llandovery RFC is a Welsh rugby union club based in Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, Wales. The club is an inaugural member of the Welsh Rugby Union, currently play in the Welsh Premier Division and is a feeder club for the Scarlets, a Pro14 club. Llandovery won the Premier Division during the 2022–23 season, defeating reigning champions Cardiff RFC in the final.
Peter Sidoli is a Welsh former rugby union player who played as a lock. Born in Merthyr Tydfil, he played for Neath, Merthyr and Ebbw Vale, before joining the Newport Gwent Dragons regional side as part of their inaugural squad in 2003.

Kingsley Jones is a Welsh rugby union coach, currently in charge of the Canadian national team. A former Welsh international player, Jones has played and coached at various levels, from playing at the amateur level to the professional level in Wales and England. He since went on to become a professional coach at club and international level.
Lee Beach is a Welsh rugby union player. Lee was born and raised in Maerdy in Rhondda Valleys. Lee started his rugby life playing for his Home Team Maerdy RFC and Tylorstown RFC youth, Lee was noticed by scouts from around Wales and was signed up by Pontypridd RFC at the age of 18. Lee initially played his club rugby for Pontypridd RFC, and was involved with developing other young players as a rugby development officer. he then played for Neath RFC then followed by a couple of years at the Ospreys where he played alongside the likes of Shane Williams, Lee Byrne, Alyn Wyn Jones, James Hook, Andy Powell, Lee played in the famous victory when the Ospreys beat Australia national team at the liberty stadium.

Matthew Dean Nuthall is a rugby union player for Pontypridd RFC in the Principality Premiership. Nuthall shot to fame at the end of the 2001/02 season with a man of the match performance in his first ever senior outing for Pontypridd against Bridgend. His rise to stardom continued with a place in the Ponty team which clinched the 2002 Welsh Cup against Llanelli, whilst still qualified at the youth age level. Nuthall was drafted into the Celtic Warriors regional squad in 2003, but turning out regularly for Pontypridd at club level.
Christopher David Dicomidis is a rugby union player for Pontypridd RFC in the Principality Premiership, and for the Cyprus national team.
Welsh regional rugby is the top tier of professional Welsh club rugby and is composed of the Scarlets, Ospreys, Cardiff Rugby and the Dragons which compete in the United Rugby Championship.
Owen Rhys Williams is a Welsh former rugby union player who played as a wing. Born in Blackwood, Caerphilly, he played for Blackwood RFC and Pontypridd RFC, as well as the Wales Sevens team.
Greg Prosser is a Welsh former international rugby union player who represented the Wales national team on one occasion during the 1995 Rugby World Cup. He played in the top division of Welsh club rugby for Pontypridd RFC, where he spent a total of twelve seasons, and Bridgend RFC for two seasons.
