He also played his career for the Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning and Ottawa Senators. He retired in 1997.

The 1985 Memorial Cup took place on May 11–18 at the Shawinigan Municipal Auditorium in Shawinigan, Quebec and at Centre Civique in Drummondville, Quebec. It was the 67th annual Memorial Cup competition and determined the major junior ice hockey champion of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL). The tournament was originally only to be played in Shawinigan, but support columns in the seats of the ancient Auditorium made televising the games impossible and the tournament was moved to Drummondville after the second game. Participating teams were the host team Shawinigan Cataractes, as well as the winners of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League and Western Hockey League which were the Verdun Junior Canadiens, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and Prince Albert Raiders. Prince Albert won their first Memorial Cup, defeating Shawinigan in the final game.
Kim D. Issel is a former professional ice hockey right wing. Issel was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and spent his junior career with the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL. He was selected in the first round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft, 21st overall, by the Edmonton Oilers. Issel played four games for the Oilers, and was briefly part of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vancouver Canucks minor league systems, but spent the majority of his career in Europe. He officially announced his retirement on July 1, 1999 and works as a constable for Prince Albert Police Departement since then.
Emanuel "Manny" Viveiros is a Canadian-Austrian professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League (WHL), and formerly served as head coach of the Spokane Chiefs and Swift Current Broncos of the WHL, the Henderson Silver Knights of the American Hockey League (AHL), Klagenfurt AC of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (EBEL), and ERC Ingolstadt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), as well as an assistant coach for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Internationally, Viveiros has served as the head coach of the Austrian national hockey team.

Robert Lowes is a Canadian ice hockey executive, and former ice hockey coach. He has worked as the assistant director of player personnel for the Vegas Golden Knights since 2016. Lowes led the Nipawin Hawks to the 1990 ANAVET Cup championship, before being a head coach in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for 12 seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings, and the Regina Pats. He twice won the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy as the WHL Coach of the Year, and twice won the CHL Coach of the Year Award. Lowes also coached the Canada men's national under-18 ice hockey team, and later became director of amateur scouting for the Ottawa Senators.
Aliaksei Uladzimiravich Protas is a Belarusian professional ice hockey centre for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL). Protas previously played two seasons of major junior for the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League (WHL), and was selected 91st overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He made his professional debut in 2020 with Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. Internationally Protas has played for the Belarusian national junior team at two World Junior Championships.
