British Formula Renault Championship referred to one of two Formula Renault championships that were held in the United Kingdom. The main series was Renault Sport UK's Formula Renault 2.0 UK championship which was held from 1989 to 2011 and was generally recognized as the British Formula Renault championship. However, in March 2012 it was announced that the Formula Renault UK series would not take place in 2012, with the series being ended definitively in September 2012. A secondary championship organised by the British Automobile Racing Club and known as the Protyre Formula Renault Championship was held continuously between 1995 and 2014. The championship was the only Formula Renault 2.0 championship operating in the United Kingdom after the demise of the main series, but was ended after the 2014 season.
The 2010 Formula Renault 2.0 UK Championship was the 22nd British Formula Renault Championship. The season began at Thruxton on 3 April and ended on 10 October at Brands Hatch, after twenty rounds held in England, and for the first time since 2006, Scotland. Making its debut in the series in 2010 was the new-specification car, designed by Barazi-Epsilon, replacing the Tatuus chassis that had been in the series since 2000.

Jake Cook is a British racing driver, currently competing in the Protyre Formula Renault Championship for Hillspeed. He is the nephew of former British Touring Car Championship driver Paula Cook. He won the MSA Young Driver of the Year award for 2010, the first recipient of the award.

The 2015 season was the 25th Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 season organized by Renault Sport. The season began at Ciudad del Motor de Aragón on 25 April and finished on 18 October at Circuito de Jerez. The series formed part of the World Series by Renault meetings, with seventeen races at seven race meetings. The championship was won by British driver Jack Aitken.

The first race takes place on 5 April at Brands Hatch on the circuit's Indy configuration and concluded on 11 October at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after eighteen races held at nine meetings.

The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers, aged between 14 and 17, competing in Ginetta G40s that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. It formed part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the British Touring Car Championship centrepiece. It was the tenth Ginetta Junior Championship, and commenced on 2 April 2016 at Brands Hatch – on the circuit's Indy configuration – and concluded on 2 October 2016 at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after twenty five races held at ten meetings, all in support of the 2016 British Touring Car Championship season.
Michael Epps is a British/New Zealand racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship in 2016 and 2017 for Team Hard. Due to budget issues, Michael was unable to continue in the series and raced the supporting Clio Cup in 2018 and Ginetta G55 in 2019.
Mark Howard is a British racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship in 2016, after winning the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom Masters title in 2015.
