Daniel Nadler was born in Toronto, Ontario, the son of immigrants from Poland and Romania. His father was an engineer who specialized in using sound to detect microscopic cracks in structures like bridges and submarines. [1] Nadler attended Harvard University where he studied mathematics and classics, and poetry under the mentorship of Pulitzer Prize winner Jorie Graham. He was also a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve during PhD studies. In 2016 Nadler received a PhD with a doctoral thesis on the pricing mechanisms of credit derivatives. [1]

[6]
Nadler's debut collection of poetry, Lacunae: 100 Imagined Ancient Love Poems, was published by the American book publishing company Farrar, Straus and Giroux in 2016. [7] [8]
In 2019, Nadler co-financed and was a producer on the drama Palmer , starring Justin Timberlake, which was released in 2021. [9]
In 2021 Nadler founded OpenEvidence, [10] an artificial intelligence company whose medical search engine is used by doctors for clinical decision support. [5] In 2025, OpenEvidence was valued at $3.5 billion. [11]
