Daniele Buzzegoli (born 7 May 1983) is an Italia football coach and former player. He is the current Under-19 youth coach of Como.
He played two seasons (4 games, no goals) in the Serie A for Empoli.
In January 2011 Buzzegoli was signed by Spezia for €100,000. [1] [2]
On 4 July 2012 he was swapped with Filippo Porcari. [3] Both players were tagged for €800,000 in the financial accounts. [1]
On 7 January 2019 he returned to Novara on a 1.5-year contract. [4]
In June 2022, following a final season as a player with Serie D club San Donato Tavarnelle, and following the club's promotion to Serie C, Buzzegoli retired from active football to join the coaching staff of newly appointed manager Lamberto Magrini. [5] On 14 November 2022, following Magrini's dismissal from his head coaching role, Buzzegoli was promoted as head coach on an interim basis. [6] Under his tenure, San Donato Tavarnelle failed to escape relegation, leading Buzzegoli to depart by the end of the season.
On 8 July 2023, Novara announced they had appointed Buzzegoli as their new head coach. [7] On 14 October 2023, following a negative start in the season, Novara announced the dismissal of Buzzegoli from his head coaching role. [8]
In January 2024, he was appointed in charge of the Under-19 youth team of Como. [9]
His grandfather Ivo Buzzegoli played in the Serie A in the 1940s.

The 2015–16 Serie B was the 84th season since its establishment in 1929. A total of 22 teams contested the league: 16 returning from the 2014–15 season, 4 promoted from Lega Pro, and 2 relegated from Serie A. Vacancies created by the bankruptcy of Serie A-relegated Parma and the demotion of Catania to Lega Pro due to match fixing allowed Brescia to remain in the league despite being relegated. Furthermore, Teramo was due to participate to Serie B but due to the allegations for match-fixing, the Courts decided to relegate Teramo in the last place of Lega Pro of the previous season. After the demotion of Catania, Virtus Entella was readmitted into Serie B as the best team of the relegated teams from the previous season. Furthermore, Ascoli was promoted into the championship after finishing second in Lega Pro Group B, second after Teramo before being stripped of the title for the match-fixing scandal.

The season was scheduled to run from 23 August 2019 to 14 May 2020, though on 9 March 2020, the Italian government halted the league until 3 April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy. Serie B did not resume play on this date. On 18 May, it was announced that Italian football would be suspended until 14 June. On 28 May, it was announced that Serie B would resume starting from 20 June.
