Danilo Olaybar Leyble is a Filipino lawyer and politician who currently serves as member of Rizal Provincial Board representing the Antipolo's Second District. He is the former Mayor of Antipolo,serving from 2009 until 2013.
Leyble started his political career when he was elected as councilor,serving two terms. In 2004,he ran as Vice Mayor and won. He was re-elected in 2007.
On January 8,2009,he assumed office as mayor [1] following the death [2] of Mayor Victor Sumulong. He served as Acting Mayor until 2010.
In 2010,he ran as Mayor against Rep. Angelito "Lito" Gatlabayan and won. Gatlabayan protested the results,but later dismissed due to lack of merit. [3]
He ran for re-election in 2013 but lost to then-Governor Casimiro "Jun" Ynares III. [4]
He ran as vice mayor in 2016 but lost to then-Vice Mayor Josefina "Pining" Gatlabayan,wife of former Mayor Angelito "Lito" Gatlabayan. [5] [6]
He ran as provincial board member representing the city's second district and won unopposed. [7]
The Ynares Center is an indoor arena located along the Circumferential Road in Antipolo,Rizal,Philippines. The facility,which has a seating capacity of 7,400,is managed by the Provincial Government of Rizal. The arena is named after the Ynares family of Rizal,whose members had served as governors since 1992. It was also the site of the 100th Foundation Anniversary Celebration of the province.
