Skagen is Denmark's northernmost town, on the east coast of the Skagen Odde peninsula in the far north of Jutland, part of Frederikshavn Municipality in Nordjylland, 41 kilometres (25 mi) north of Frederikshavn and 108 kilometres (67 mi) northeast of Aalborg. The Port of Skagen is Denmark's main fishing port and it also has a thriving tourist industry, attracting 2 million people annually.
Akvavit or aquavit is a distilled spirit that is principally produced in Scandinavia, where it has been produced since the 15th century. Akvavit is distilled from grain or potatoes, and is flavoured with a variety of herbs. It is also popular in Northern Germany.

Gammel Dansk is a bitters produced by Arcus-Gruppen in Oslo, Norway, originally developed and produced by Danish Distillers in Denmark. Traditionally it is drunk by Danes at certain festive occasions, often in connection with breakfast meals, brunch or at wedding anniversaries and birthday celebrations. The name "Gammel Dansk" translates directly from Danish as "Old Danish".

Aalborg or Ålborg is Denmark's fourth largest urban settlement with a population of 119,862 in the town proper and an urban population of 143,598. As of 1 July 2022, the Municipality of Aalborg had a population of 221,082, making it the third most populous in the country after the municipalities of Copenhagen (capital) and Aarhus. Eurostat and OECD have used a definition for the metropolitan area of Aalborg, which includes all municipalities in the province of North Jutland, with a total population of 594,323 as of 1 July 2022.
Arcus AS is Norway's largest wholesaler of wine and liquor. It was created when it was demerged from the state-owned wine and liquor retailer Vinmonopolet on January 1, 1996. The retailing operations were kept in Vinmonopolet; import, export, production, and storage were transferred to Arcus.

The Skagen Painters were a group of Scandinavian artists who gathered in the village of Skagen, the northernmost part of Denmark, from the late 1870s until the turn of the century. Skagen was a summer destination whose scenic nature, local milieu and social community attracted northern artists to paint en plein air, emulating the French Impressionists—though members of the Skagen colony were also influenced by Realist movements such as the Barbizon school. They broke away from the rather rigid traditions of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts, espousing the latest trends that they had learned in Paris. Among the group were Anna and Michael Ancher, Peder Severin Krøyer, Holger Drachmann, Karl Madsen, Laurits Tuxen, Marie Krøyer, Carl Locher, Viggo Johansen and Thorvald Niss from Denmark, Oscar Björck and Johan Krouthén from Sweden, and Christian Krohg and Eilif Peterssen from Norway. The group gathered together regularly at the Brøndums Hotel.

Skåne Akvavit is a Swedish spiced spirit brand of the akvavit type. It is named for the province of Scania, which is called Skåne in Swedish.
O.P. Anderson Aquavit is a Swedish spirit of the akvavit type, presented in 1891 for the Gothenburg Exhibition Fair under the name "Gammal Fin 1ma Aquavit". The firm producing it was called O.P. Anderson & Son i Göteborg, which has later given name to this brand of akvavit. Göteborg is the Swedish name for Gothenburg.
Alf Cock-Clausen was a Danish architect. He was active during the transition from Neoclassicism to Functionalism and many of his works show influence from Art Deco. His factory for the distillery De Danske Spritfabrikker at Aalborg's harbour front was declared a Danish Industrial Heritage Site in 2009.
The Atlungstad Distillery is a distillery in Stange in Hedmark county, Norway. It was established in 1855 by a group of farmers. Regular distillation was discontinued in 2000, but trial runs were later carried out. In 2012, the distillery was added to the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage list of priority technical and industrial cultural heritage, after which NOK 7 million was allocated to restore the distillery to its former condition. An additional NOK 4.7 million was allocated for the distillery in 2017. It has been owned by the company Atlungstad Brenneri AS since 2011. In October 2013, the owners signed a cooperation agreement with the Arcus company that they would restart regular production of akvavit at the Atlungstad Distillery. The distillery is open for tours in the summer.
Beauvais is a Danish brand of condiments, snacks and readymade meals now owned by Norwegian food company Orkla ASA. The brand was founded by and is named for Jean Baptiste Desiré Beauvais, a French immigrant, who established a production of canned food in Copenhagen in 1850. The company was acquired by Orkla in 1995 and renamed Orkla Foods Denmark in 2013.
Blossa is a trademark for glögg owned by Anora Group which is the most sold glögg in Sweden. There are 11 kinds of glögg in the selection, and also an annual seasonal glögg since 2003. In the early 1950s Vin & Spirit produced 750 thousand litres of glögg per year and in 2009 the company sold 4.1 million litres per year.
Brøndumgård is a Neoclassical town mansion from 1804 situated at Store Kongensgade 110 in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1918. Changing breweries or distilleries were from the beginning of the 18th century until 1918 operated on the rear of the property. It was from 1842 owned by Anders Brøndum for whom two rear wings, neither of which are listed, were constructed in the 1850s. The entire complex was converted into condominiums in 2007–10.
Snaregade 12–14 are two adjoining late 18th-century buildings located close to Gammel Strand in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark. The akvavit manufacturer A. Brøndum & Søn was based at the site from 1840. After its acquisition by De Danske Spritfabrikker in 1894, it was continued as a distillery until 1917; then, it was used by the new owner as a bottling facility and sales office into at least the 1950s. Snaregade 12-14 and a former warehouse at Knabrostræde 23 were jointly listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1945. The complex is now owned by Jeudan and used as office space.
Anora Group Plc is a Nordic distilled beverage and wine company. It was formed in 2021 as a result of the merger of Norway's Arcus Group and Finland's Altia Group. Headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, Anora has offices in each of the Nordic capital cities.
