Dansbander is a 2006 Torgny Melins studio album, [1] consisting of recordings of Teddybears Stockholm songs. The song "Dansbander" ("Punkrocker") was also released in 2006 single together with a Teddybears Stockholm-medley acting as B-side. [2] The album was also released as a cassette tape.

Teddybears are a Swedish alternative rock band formed in 1991, known for mixing pop, rock, hip hop, electronica, reggae, punk, and many other genres.

"Punkrocker" is a song written and originally performed by the Swedish electronic/alternative group Teddybears. The song first appeared on their 2000 album Rock’n’Roll Highschool, and was covered later that year by Caesar's Palace, a band which also includes Teddybears member Joakim Åhlund.

"Stockholm" is a 1992 single released by Orup also appearing on his album Stockholm & andra ställen the same year.

Balladen om det stora slagsmålet på Tegelbacken is a song written by Olle Adolphson, and originally recorded by himself on with Hans Wahlgrens orkester on the EP record Resan hem, released in October 1963. The song lyrics describe early 20th century Stockholm gang activity.

"Gråt inga tårar" is a song written by Åke Hallgren in the dansband Pippis from Hede, and recorded and a released a single by several dansbands in 1974, including Pippis, Dannys and Thorleifs. Pippis also recorded the song on the 1975 album Ordning på torpet.

"Tiotusen röda rosor" is a song written by Thore Skogman. Recorded by Jan Høiland, it was released as a 1967 single, and became a Svensktoppen hit charting for six weeks between 17 March-21 April 1968, which included the song topping the chart.

"Öppna din dörr" is a song written by Tommy Nilsson, and released as a single from his 1994 studio album, En kvinnas man. The single peaked at number 2 in Sweden and number 10 in Norway. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Öppna din dörr" reached number 45. It also became a Svensktoppen hit, charting for 24 weeks between 18 June-26 November 1994, topping the chart. It was also appointed "Svensktoppen song of the year 1994". The song became a Trackslistan hit as well.

"Julen är här" is a Christmas song written by Billy Butt and Sölve Rydell, and intended to be sung as a duet. A famous recording was done by Tommy Körberg with Sissel Kyrkjebø on the 1989 Tommy Körberg Christmas album Julen är här. This version charted at Svensktoppen for four weeks over Christmas-New Year 1989–1990.

Torgny Melins is a dansband from Säffle, Sweden, scoring chart successes in Sweden by the mid-late 2000s. In 2006, the band played at the Hultsfred Festival, becoming first dansband since Sven-Ingvars in 1991 to do so. The band has also played at the Arvika Festival. The band has also recorded Teddybears Stockholm songs on the 2006 album Dansbander, as well as recorded soundtrack music for the 2007 "Snart är det lördag igen" film.

Världen utanför is a song written by Calle Kindbom and Thomas G:son, and performed by Barbados during Melodifestivalen 2002, participating in the first semifinal in Växjö on 19 January 2002, from where it made it further through "Vinnarnas val" and finally to the finals inside the Stockholm Globe Arena, where it ended up 4th.
