The fifth season of the French version of Strictly Come Dancing premiered on TF1 on September 27, 2014, almost one year to the day after the fourth season. This time, 11 celebrities were paired with 11 professional ballroom dancers, more than the 10 of the previous two seasons. Sandrine Quétier and Vincent Cerutti return as the hosts for this season, while second season winner Shy'm left her judging chair after two years, being replaced by first season winner M. Pokora.

Tanec snov is a Slovak reality television that premiered on March 8, 2015, on the television channel JOJ. The concept of the series presents nine local celebrities coupled with an equal number of dancers to "dance their dream" in common. Viliam Rozboril and Barbora Rakovská have been hosting the show since, while Eva Máziková, Ján Ďurovčík and Peter Modrovský, these were promoted as the judges for the series opening season. Apart from that, a guest judge will appear per episode too.

The sixth season of the French version of Strictly Come Dancing premiered on TF1 on October 24, 2015, a little over a year after the fifth season. This time, 10 celebrities are paired with 10 professional ballroom dancers, less than the 11 of the previous season. Vincent Cerutti will not return as the main host for the season, being replaced by Sandrine Quétier, while Quétier's previous spot will be taken over by Season 4 contestant Laurent Ournac. Meanwhile, Fauve Hautot, one of the program's most popular dancers, was promoted to the position of judge, due to Season 5 judge M. Pokora being too busy with his concert tour.

The seventh season of the French version of Strictly Come Dancing started on 15 October 2016 on TF1. It was hosted by Sandrine Quétier and Laurent Ournac. Before the end of the sixth season, TF1 announced the renewal of the show for a seventh season in 2016.

The eighth season of the French version of Strictly Come Dancing began in October 2017 on TF1. It was hosted by Sandrine Quétier. The 21st season of Taniec z gwiazdami, the Polish edition of Dancing With the Stars, started on 2 March 2018. This is the eighth season aired on Polsat. Paulina Sykut-Jeżyna and Krzysztof Ibisz returned as hosts and Iwona Pavlović, Michał Malitowski and Andrzej Grabowski returned as judges. Ola Jordan replaced Beata Tyszkiewicz as the fourth judge.

The ninth season of the French version of Strictly Come Dancing started in October 2018 on TF1. It was hosted by Camille Combal and Karine Ferri. Nico Archambault did not reprise his role as judge and was replaced by Patrick Dupond. Fauve Hautot also left the panel of the judges to return as a dancer and was replaced by the winner of Danse avec les stars, Shy'm. Jean-Marc Généreux and Chris Marques both returned as judges.
