The CARIFTA Games is an annual athletics competition founded by the Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA). The games were first held in 1972 and consist of track and field events including sprint races, hurdles, middle distance track events, jumping and throwing events, and relays. The Games has two age categories: under-17 and under-20. Only countries associated with CARIFTA may compete in the competition.
Michael Walter Mathieu is a retired Bahamian sprinter hailing from Freeport, Grand Bahama who specialized in the 200 metres and 400 metres. He was part of the Bahamian silver medal-winning team in the men's 4×400 metres relay at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, running second leg and recording a 44.0 split, and the gold medal-winning team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was also a part of second place relay team at the 2007 World Championships. He won the bronze medal in the 4x400 metres relay in the 2016 Summer Olympics.
The United States national U-19 American football team represents the United States in under-19 international American football competitions. The US has competed in all 5 of the IFAF Junior World Championship competitions in which they finished in First Place 2 times, Second Place 2 times, and Third Place 1 time. The US has also won the IFAF International Bowl 7 times. They are currently ranked no.2 in the IFAF U-19 rankings. Top competitions for the U-19s are the IFAF Junior World Championship, IFAF International Bowl, and U-19 North American Championships.

Juan Lewis is a male track and field athlete from West End, Grand Bahama in The Bahamas, who mainly competes in the 400m and 200 He attended Bishop Michael Eldon School and Sunland Baptist Academy before competing for Southwestern Christian College and the UT Arlington Mavericks. Lewis ran the third leg of the 4 x 400 Relay at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Doha, Qatar.
Deon Kristofer Lendore was a Trinidad and Tobago sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres. He won a bronze medal in the 4 × 400 metres relay event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and won medals at the Pan American Junior Athletics Championships, World Athletics Championships and World Athletics Indoor Championships. Lendore died in a car collision in Texas, United States, on 10 January 2022.
The 2nd Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships was held in Xalapa, Mexico, on 26–29 August 1976. The city was already the host of the inaugural CAC senior championships in May, 1967.
The 3rd Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships was held in Xalapa, Mexico, on 25–28 August 1978. This was already the second time that the city was hosting this event after the 2nd junior CAC games in 1976. Moreover, both the inaugural 1st CAC senior championships in 1967 and the VI CAC senior championships in 1977 took place in Xalapa, Veracruz. Both junior (under-20) and youth (under-17) competitions were held.

IFAF Flag Football World Championship is the international championship in flag football, organized by International Federation of American Football. The men's and women's competitions are usually held in the same venue. The tournament starts with pool play to fill in the seeding and follows an elimination-style of play after that. At the end of the tournament the top teams are rewarded with Bronze (3rd), Silver (2nd) or Gold (1st). The IFAF Flag Football World Championship is held every two years in different countries.
Steven Gardiner is a Bahamian track and field sprinter competing in the 400 metres and 200 metres. He is the 2020 Olympic and 2019 world champion in the 400 m, and also won the silver medal at the 2017 World Championships in that event. His winning time of 43.48 s from the 2019 World Championships is the Bahamian record and makes him the eighth‑fastest man in the history of the event. Gardiner also owns the Bahamian records in the outdoor 300 m and 200 m, with times of 31.83 s and 19.75 s respectively, and the world best in the indoor 300 m at 31.56 s.

Wendall Miller is a Bahamian sprinter who competes in the 200 and 400. He attended St.Johns College in Nassau, Bahamas where he won multiple Bahamas Association of Independent Secondary Schools Track and Field "B.A.I.S.S" gold medals. After a break out 2021 season he signed a professional contract with Puma, and will be training with MVP International, under former Auburn University coach Henry Rolle based in Boca Raton, Florida. He holds the Bahamian 400m Jr National Record with a time of 45.81. He also has a personal best of 20.61 (+1.1w) over 200m.
Jamal Moss is a male sprinter from Nassau, Bahamas, who mainly competes in the 400m. Moss competed for Hinds Community College. Moss ran the third leg of the 4 × 400 m Relay at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, as well as the third leg for the same event at the 2004 World Junior Championships in Athletics in Grosseto, Italy.
Alex Haydock-Wilson is a British athletics athlete. In 2023, he became British 400 metres champion. He achieved two bronze medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics, in the mixed 4 x 400 m relay and the men's 4 x 400 m relay.
