Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl is a Japanese yuri manga series written by Satoru Akahori and illustrated by Yukimaru Katsura. The manga was originally serialized in Dengeki Daioh between the July 2004 and May 2007 issues, and later published in five bound volumes by MediaWorks from January 2005 to May 2007. The story focuses on Hazumu Osaragi, a normal, albeit effeminate high school boy who is killed when an alien spaceship crash lands on him, only to be restored to health as a girl. This results in a same-sex love triangle that Hazumu finds herself in with two of her best female friends.

Dog Days is a Japanese anime television series created by Masaki Tsuzuki, also known for his work as creator of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and produced by Seven Arcs and Aniplex under the direction of Keizo Kusakawa. The story revolves around a boy named Shinku Izumi, who is summoned to an alternate world by Princess Millhiore in order to defend Millhiore's country, the Biscotti Republic, from the neighboring kingdom of Galette. The series ran for 13 episodes on Tokyo MX and other channels from April to June 2011. A second series, titled Dog Days', ran for 13 episodes from July to September 2012. A third series, titled Dog Days″, ran for 12 episodes from January to March 2015.

A 13-episode anime television series by Liden Films aired in Japan between October and December 2013. A second season of the anime began airing from July 3, 2015. A manga series began serialization in Kodansha's Good! Afternoon magazine in February 2014.
