Major General Darrell Peter Amison OBE is a former British Army officer.
Amison was commissioned into the Royal Army Educational Corps in 1990. [1] He served as commanding officer of 4 Logistic Support Regiment RLC in which role he was deployed to Afghanistan in 2007. [2] He went on to be Deputy Chief of Staff at Headquarters, 3rd (United Kingdom) Division in 2010, Commander of 102nd Logistic Brigade in July 2013 [3] and Head of Concepts at the Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre in September 2015 before becoming Capability Director, Combat Service Support in January 2019. [4] Amison became Director of the Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre in April 2020, [4] [5] and retired from the army on 2 November 2022. [6]
He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2010 Birthday Honours. [7]
The Royal Logistic Corps provides logistic support functions to the British Army. It is the largest Corps in the Army.

British Forces Cyprus (BFC) is the name given to the British Armed Forces stationed in the UK Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia on the island of Cyprus and at a number of related 'retained sites' in the Republic of Cyprus. The United Kingdom retains a military presence on the island in order to keep a strategic location at the eastern end of the Mediterranean, for use as a staging point for forces sent to locations in the Middle East and Asia. BFC is a tri-service command, with all three services based on the island reporting to it.

Major General Timothy Cross, CBE is a retired British Army officer and military logistics expert. He was commissioned in 1971 into the Royal Army Ordnance Corps and went on to serve in Germany, Northern Ireland and Cyprus, interspersed with staff duties and further education. He was posted to Paris in 1984, where he was involved in the development of the MILAN anti-tank weapon, before returning to his regiment as a company commander. He took command of 1 Ordnance Battalion in 1990 and was tasked with running logistics for 1st Armoured Division during the Gulf War. He went on to serve as Commander, Logistic Support for 3rd Infantry Division in 1992.

After studying economics at the University of Exeter, he joined the Royal Marines and undertook early tours of duty to Norway, the Far East, Northern Ireland and Zimbabwe. After being deployed to Kosovo and Afghanistan, he commanded 42 Commando Royal Marines from 2006 to 2008 and was awarded a Distinguished Service Order for his leadership in Afghanistan, as well as the United States Legion of Merit for his exceptionally meritorious service. Holmes served as Commandant General Royal Marines from 2019 to 2021.
