Abdul Rahman bin Ya'kub was a Malaysian politician of Melanau descent from Mukah. He was the third Chief Minister of Sarawak and the fourth Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak. He is also an uncle of Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, since his (Taib's) mother Hajah Hamidah Ya'akub (1916–2006) was his (Rahman's) eldest-born sibling.

Satok Bridge or Jambatan Satok is a suspension bridge in Kuching city, Sarawak, Malaysia. Originally built in 1923–1926, the bridge collapsed in 2004 during a storm. Because the bridge had many memories and was the first bridge to be built in Sarawak, the government decided to rebuild it in 2017 by choosing a local construction company, Pekerjaan Piasau Konkerit Sdn Bhd (PPK) as the main contractor. It was rebuilt in 2019, but work was suspended in October 2019 due to structural issues: an anchor block had become displaced. After structural correction and redesign, work resumed and the bridge was reopened 15 months later. The opening was officiated by then Chief Minister of Sarawak, Abang Zohari Openg on 21 November 2021.
Abdul Rahman bin Abbas is a Malaysian politician who had served as the 7th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang from 1 May 2001 to 30 April 2021. He is a former politician from the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO). Abdul Rahman was first appointed to the governorship by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in May 2001 and was reappointed six times, in 2005, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017 for a total of 20 years, thus becoming the longest-serving governor in Malaysian history.

The Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak is the second highest order group of the orders, decorations, and medals of Sarawak. The order was instituted in 1970, and was redesigned in 1988. Two more ranks were added to the order: the 'Officer' in 1988 and the 'Companion' in 2002.
The Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak is the third-ranking order in the list of orders of the Sarawak State Orders, Decorations and Medals. The Order was instituted in 1997, and is limited to only 100 living recipients at one time. During his tenure, Adenan held the position as the President of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), which is part of the Barisan Nasional coalition. He was of Malay descent. He is referred to as the Father of Sarawak Unity.
Datuk Ali anak Biju is a Malaysian politician and civil engineer who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Saratok since May 2018. He served as the Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Takiyuddin Hassan from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Shamsul Anuar Nasarah from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021, Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Krian from April 2011 to December 2021. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the PN coalition and was a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He also served as the Vice President of PKR from December 2018 to his resignation from the party in February 2020. He took part in the Sheraton Move, a successful attempt to overthrow PH administration and serves as a member of the Federal-State Relations Select Committee. He is the sole Sarawak PN MP and one of the only two Christian MPs of PN alongside Ronald Kiandee.
Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah bin Ali Hasan is a Malaysian politician who has served as Deputy Premier of Sarawak since May 2017 and Member of Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bukit Sari since April 1987. He currently also holds the portfolio of Second Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development and Minister for International Trade and Investment under the administration of Premier Abang Abdul Rahman Johari Abang Openg. The Premier and Exalted Order of Malacca is the second-highest state order of Malacca which is conferred by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Malacca. The order was the state's highest order until the establishment of the Premier and Faithful Exalted Order of Malacca by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Mohd Ali Rustam in 2020. The order was constituted in 1978 and amended in 2016. It is conferred in the single grade of Knight Grand Commander (D.U.N.M.).
