David Stewart is a British freelance bass trombonist, and music teacher based in London.
Stewart was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and studied with Peter Gane at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He was also a member of the National Youth Orchestra.
Stewart was the winner of the 1983 Shell/LSO brass competition and has been a member of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and London Philharmonic Orchestra (1998–2005). He also performs with London Brass. [1]
Often seen in the commercial and recording world, Stewart has worked with Quincy Jones, Kenny Wheeler, Mike Gibbs, John Surman and Natalie Cole. His film credits include Lord of the Rings (complete), the last five James Bond films, The Golden Compass , and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian .
Stewart has played in The Sound of Music in London's West End since it opened in November 2006. He has also played for many others including Robbie Williams, Elton John, Annie Lennox, Joni Mitchell, S Club 7 and S Club Juniors.
Stewart played in the 25th anniversary The Phantom of the Opera performance at the Royal Albert Hall.
He also teaches bass trombone at the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. [2]
The Guildhall School of Music and Drama is a music and drama school located in the City of London, England. Established in 1880, the school offers undergraduate and postgraduate training in all aspects of classical music and jazz along with drama and production arts. The school has students from over seventy countries. Denis Wick is an influential British orchestral trombonist. He is also an internationally respected brass teacher and designer of brass mutes and mouthpieces. On retirement in 1989 he was awarded the International Trombone Association's annual award; he served as their president 2004–2006.

John Orford is a British classical bassoonist. He studied under Charles Cracknell and William Waterhouse at the Royal Manchester College of Music. After graduation, he became a member of the Bournemouth Sinfonietta, and later the BBC Symphony Orchestra. In 1982, he was appointed Principal Bassoon of the London Sinfonietta. In 1984, he joined the faculty at the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama as professor of bassoon. In 1999, he commissioned Geoffrey Grey to write the piece Preamble and 5 Variations for bassoon and piano. He has appeared with all the major British orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, and the Philharmonia.
Martin Gatt is a British classical bassoonist. He studied under Archie Camden at the Royal College of Music in London. He served as principal bassoonist of the London Philharmonic Orchestra from 1958 to 1966, after which he was appointed principal bassoonist of the English Chamber Orchestra from 1966 to 1976. He also held the post of principal bassoon of the London Symphony Orchestra from 1977 to 1998, and was the bassoonist in the Barry Tuckwell Wind Quintet from 1967 to 1991. He is also active in music education. At the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts he founded the Department of Wind, Brass and Percussion. He taught at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama from 1967 to 1984, and is currently a professor of Bassoon at the Royal College of Music.

Martin was formerly International Chair of Double Bass at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and has been professor both at the Royal College of Music Guildhall School of Music and Drama and at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music in Glasgow.
