David Abeles is an American actor. He is most well known for originating the role of Eamon in Once [1] and portraying Ron Weasley in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child , both on Broadway. [2] He also portrayed Miss Trunchbull in the US national tour of Matilda the Musical [3] and replaced Dave Malloy as Pierre Bezukhov in the Off-Broadway production of Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 . [4]

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a play written by Jack Thorne from an original story written by J. K. Rowling, Thorne and John Tiffany. The story is set nineteen years after the events of the 2007 novel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by Rowling. It follows Albus Severus Potter, son of Harry Potter, who is now Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic. When Albus arrives at Hogwarts, he gets sorted into Slytherin, and fails to live up to his father's legacy, making him resentful of his father. Rowling has referred to the play as "the eighth Harry Potter story".

Scott Stangland is an American actor. He's most well known for his performances as Eamon in Once and Pierre Bezukhov in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, both on Broadway. For the latter performance, he won an Elliot Norton Award and IRNE Award in the pre-Broadway run at the A.R.T. When Great Comet transferred to the Imperial Theatre, singer-songwriter Josh Groban took over the role of Pierre and Stangland became the standby. However, later in the run, he took over the role for a temporary stint in between the runs of Okieriete Onaodowan and the show's creator, Dave Malloy.
