David Baseggio (born October 28, 1967) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman and coach. Baseggio was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the fourth round (68th overall) of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. He is currently employed as the director of pro scouting for the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League.
Born in 1967 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Baseggio attended Yale University, where he played four seasons of NCAA Division I college hockey with the Yale Bulldogs men's ice hockey team. He began to play professionally in 1989, and went on the play 619 games in a career that spanned eleven seasons in the American Hockey League, International Hockey League, and Europe. Baseggio retired as a player following the 1999–2000 ECHL season to become an assistant coach with the 2000–01 Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL. [1]
For the 2001-02 AHL season, he joined the Bridgeport Sound Tigers as an assistant coach and he was named the head coach of the Sound Tigers prior to the 2005-06 AHL season. [2] Baseggio was then named head coach of the Peoria Rivermen in the American Hockey League starting the 2006-07 AHL season, where he remained for two seasons. His career then took him to the Anaheim Ducks organization in the National Hockey League, serving at a pro scout starting in the 2008-09 season, [3] before taking on responsibilities as pro scouting director and assistant to the general manager. In July 2020, Baseggio joined the Seattle Kraken as the team's pro scouting director. [4]

Edward Walter Olczyk Jr. is an American former center in the National Hockey League for 16 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, and Pittsburgh Penguins. He won the Stanley Cup with the Rangers in 1994. Olczyk was also the head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins from June 2003 to December 2005.

Daniel Brian Bylsma is an American professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is the head coach of the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the American Hockey League (AHL). He was previously head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League (NHL), and was also an assistant coach for the Detroit Red Wings. He also was the former head coach of the United States men's national ice hockey team. Prior to coaching the Sabres, Bylsma was the head coach for the Pittsburgh Penguins, whom he led to a Stanley Cup championship in 2009, just four months after being promoted to Pittsburgh's head coaching position.
The Sutter family, originally from Viking, Alberta, Canada, are one of the most famous families in the National Hockey League (NHL). Six brothers: Brent, Brian, Darryl, Duane, Rich and Ron, reached the NHL in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Four brothers, Brian, Duane, Darryl and Brent, have gone on to become coaches and general managers as well, with Brian, Darryl, and Brent each having a stint as head coach of the Calgary Flames. All brothers played for either the Chicago Blackhawks or the St. Louis Blues at one point or another. A seventh brother named Gary is said by his brothers to have been the best hockey player of all seven boys. Benjamin Pierre Guité is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former professional forward. Guité played 13 seasons of professional hockey, most notably in the National Hockey League with the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, and the Nashville Predators. He is the son of former World Hockey Association player Pierre Guité.

He is currently an associate coach for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Capuano played as a defenseman and spent parts of three seasons in the NHL in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He is the older brother of former NHL hockey player Dave Capuano.

Since May 2021, he is the director of hockey and business operations for the Seattle Kraken's American Hockey League farm team, the Coachella Valley Firebirds.

Jared Bednar is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously coached the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League, leading them to a Calder Cup championship in 2015–16. He also led the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL to a Kelly Cup championship in the 2008–09 season. Bednar won the Stanley Cup with Colorado in 2022, becoming the first coach to win the current ECHL, AHL, and NHL trophies.

The 2022–23 AHL season was the 87th season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 14, 2022, and ended on April 16, 2023. The 2023 Calder Cup playoffs followed the conclusion of the regular season, and began on April 18, 2023. They concluded on June 21 with the Hershey Bears winning their 12th Calder Cup in team history, defeating the Coachella Valley Firebirds in overtime of game seven of the finals.
