David Carson (born 20 September 1995) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Scottish Championship club Livingston. [2]

Career

Born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Carson spent his early career with Ashington. [1] In 2014, Carson signed for Blackburn Rovers [3] He returned to non-league, playing with South Shields, Whitby Town and Morpeth Town. [1]

On 15 May 2019, Carson signed for Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle. [4] [5] [6] [7] He said he was hoping to be successful at the club, [8] and new Inverness manager John Robertson tipped him for success. [9]

On 1 February 2024, Carson signed for Scottish Premiership club Livingston on an eighteen-month contract. [10]

Partick Thistle also competed in the League Cup, the Scottish Challenge Cup, Scottish Cup and the revived Glasgow Cup. On 15 April, the SPFL voted to end the lower leagues in Scottish football due to the coronavirus pandemic and as a result Partick were relegated to League One after two years in the Championship, which the club decided not to take legal action against.
