David Cohen is a cellist from Belgium who made his solo debut with the Belgium National Orchestra when he was 9. [1]

Cohen was born in Tournai, Belgium and studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and then at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where he studied under Oleg Kogan. [2] He has won more than 25 prizes in International Cello Competitions including Gold Medal of the G.S.M.D. in London, the Geneva International Cello Competition, J.S.Bach International Competition, and many others. In March 2001, he was appointed as the Principal Cello of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Belgium, becoming the youngest Principal Cello in history. [5] During the 2002-2003 music season, he was nominated as the ECHO "Rising Star" [5] by the Royal Philharmonic Society of Belgium and the Concertgebouw. [2]

He is the Artistic Director of the Melchoir Ensemble and the founder and Artistic Director of the chamber music festival, “Les Sons Intensifs” in Lessines, in Belgium. He is also a professor at the Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Mons in Belgium, a position he has held since 2000, and at the Trinity Laban [3] in London, England. [6]

In December 2021 he was appointed Principal Cello of the London Symphony Orchestra. [7]

Andrew Litton is an American orchestral conductor. Litton is a graduate of The Fieldston School. He studied piano with Nadia Reisenberg and conducting with Sixten Ehrling at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, receiving his Bachelor of Music degree and his Master of Music degree from in piano and conducting. He also received lessons in conducting from Walter Weller at the Salzburg Mozarteum and Edoardo Müller in Milan. His early teachers included John DeMaio. The youngest-ever winner of the BBC International Conductors Competition in 1982, he served as Assistant Conductor at Teatro alla Scala and Exxon/Arts Endowment Assistant Conductor for the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington D.C. under Mstislav Rostropovich (1982-1985), where subsequently he was Associate Conductor (1985-1986). Litton was a participant in the Affiliate Artists Exxon-Arts Endowment Conductors Program. In 2003, he was awarded Yale University's Sanford Medal.

Edward Gardner is an English conductor. While still studying at the Royal Academy of Music in the late 1990s, he began his professional career as a choral conductor and repetiteur. James Lowe is an orchestra conductor and current Music Director of the Spokane Symphony in Spokane, WA beginning in the 2019-2020 season. He assumed his role of Chief Conductor of the Prussian Chamber Orchestra for the 2015/16 season.
