David Eugenio de Lima Salas (born 1959) is a Venezuelan politician.
He was elected Governor of the state of Anzoátegui in the 2000 regional elections for the MVR. He later broke with the MVR and lost to his MVR successor,Tarek Saab,in the 2004 elections.
De Lima was a member of the Movement for Socialism (MAS) for 32 years,but in 2012 described MAS as "a failed project". [1] He was elected to the 1999 Constituent Assembly of Venezuela. [1]
De Lima accused his successor as governor,Tarek Saab,of using his position for political persecution, [2] [3] after Saab's wife accused De Lima of mismanagement. [4] [5]
De Lima is a lawyer by training,having graduated from the Central University of Venezuela in 1987. [1]
The Fifth Republic Movement was a socialist political party in Venezuela. It was founded in July 1997,following a national congress of the Revolutionary Bolivarian Movement-200,to support the candidacy of Hugo Chávez,the former President of Venezuela,in the 1998 presidential election. The "Fifth Republic" refers to the fact that in 1997 the Republic of Venezuela was the fourth in Venezuelan history,and the Movement aimed to re-found the Republic through a constituent assembly. Following Chávez' 1998 election victory,this took place in 1999,leading to the 1999 Constitution of Venezuela.

Saab was appointed as President of the Republican Moral Council of Venezuela by the People's Power in 2015. On 5 August 2017,he was appointed as Prosecutor General of Venezuela by the National Constituent Assembly in substitution of Luisa Ortega Diaz.

Juan Pablo Isidoro Guanipa Villalobos is a Venezuelan lawyer and politician who currently serves as deputy and First Vice President of the National Assembly,leader of the Justice First political party and former governor of Zulia. He was a presidential candidate in the 2018 elections until boycott. Guanipa is the regional coordinator of the Justice First party in Zulia and chairs the Maracaibo Posible foundation.
