The Oman men's national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Oman in international matches and is governed by Oman Cricket, which became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2000, and gained associate status in 2014. The national side has played matches at the Twenty20 International level. Duvvarapu Siva Kumar is an Indian-born American cricketer who played for Andhra cricket team. He is a bowling all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast-medium. He was a member of the India Under-19 cricket team that won the 2008 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He moved to the United States to play in the Minor League Cricket. He made his international debut for the United States cricket team in July 2022.

The 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier A was a cricket tournament that took place in February 2022 in Oman, as one of two global tournaments that together formed the final stage of the qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Global Qualifiers were Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
