David Vaihu (born 4 April 2003) is an Australian professional rugby union player.

Vaihu is the younger brother of Melbourne Rebels player Glen and attended St Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace. [1]

An Australian under-20s representative, Vaihu joined the Rebels squad in 2024 and got his opportunity in the final round of the season, coming on off the bench against the Fijian Drua at Churchill Park in Lautoka. [2] [3]

The National Rugby Championship, known as NRC, was an Australian rugby union competition. It was contested by eight teams, seven from Australia and one from Fiji. The Fijian Drua is a professional rugby union team based in Fiji that competes in the Super Rugby. The team was created by the Fiji Rugby Union and launched in August 2017, shortly before the 2017 National Rugby Championship. The team previously competed in the Australian National Rugby Championship competition between 2017 and 2019, when the tournament was disbanded.

Frank Lomani is a Fijian rugby union player who plays for the Fijian Drua in the National Rugby Championship competition as well as the Fijian Latui in the Global Rapid Rugby competition. He also trained with the Super Rugby side Melbourne Rebels during the 2018 season. His position of choice is scrum-half. He signed a two-year contract with the Melbourne Rebels for the 2020-2021 seasons. In August 2021, it was announced that Lomani would be moving to the Northern Hemisphere to play for the Northampton Saints in the English Premiership.

The 2019 National Rugby Championship was the sixth season of the top flight of Australian domestic rugby union. The competition began on 31 August and concluded on 26 October. The Fijian Drua Women are a Fijian rugby union team based in Fiji. They compete in the Super Rugby Women's competition. They were crowned champions in their inaugural season in 2022, and successfully defended their title in 2023. The first official try to go into the history books for the Fijiana Drua Women’s rugby team was scored by hooker Jiowana Bulaoca Sauto during their inaugural Super W match against the Melbourne Rebels on March 5, 2022, at Endeavour Hills Rugby Grounds.

The 2023 Super Rugby Pacific Season is the 28th season of Super Rugby, an annual rugby union competition organised by SANZAAR between teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and a combined team from Samoa, Tonga and other Pacific Island nations.
