The Davidson Wildcats wrestling team represents Davidson College of Davidson, North Carolina in NCAA Division I wrestling. [2] The Wildcats are associate members of the Southern Conference since their primary conference, the Atlantic Ten Conference does not sponsor the sport. [3]

The squad is coached by Nate Carr Jr. [4] Ty Eustice (Iowa) is head assistant coach and Marcus Coleman (Iowa State) is an assistant coach. [5]

The team has had eleven Southern Conference champions, including one in each year from 2013 to 2015. [6] Davidson has never had an All-American wrestler at the NCAA Wrestling Championships.

Nate Carr is an American former collegiate and international senior level freestyle wrestler. He grew up in a family of 16 children in Erie, Pennsylvania. Five of these, including Nate, would become All-American wrestlers and two, again including Nate, would compete in the Olympic Games. In 2003, Carr was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member.

The school's team currently competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The team last played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2022. The Wildcats are currently coached by Matt McKillop, in his first season after succeeding his father Bob after the 2021–22 season. Davidson plays its home games at the Belk Arena in Baker Sports Complex on the school's campus.

The 2014–15 Davidson Wildcats men's basketball team represented Davidson College during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wildcats, led by 26th year head coach Bob McKillop, played their home games at the John M. Belk Arena and were first year members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. They finished the season 24–8, 14–4 in A-10 play to win the A-10 regular season championship. They advanced to the semifinals of the A-10 tournament where they lost to VCU. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the second round to Iowa.

The SIU Edwardsville Cougars wrestling team represents Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) as an associate member of the Mid-American Conference of NCAA Division I wrestling. The Cougars host their home matches at the Sam M. Vadalabene Center on the university's campus in Edwardsville, Illinois, United States. The Cougars current head coach is Jeremy Spates who took over the program in 2013.

The 2021–22 Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team represented the University of Kentucky in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wildcats, founding members of the Southeastern Conference, played their home games at Rupp Arena and were led by John Calipari in his 13th season as head coach. The Wildcats finished the season 26–8, 14–4 in SEC play to finish a tie for second place. As the No. 3 seed in the SEC tournament, they defeated Vanderbilt in the quarterfinals before losing to Tennessee in the semifinals. They received an at large bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 2 seed in the East region. The Wildcats became just the 10th No. 2 seed to lose in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, losing to No. 15-seeded Saint Peter's 85–79 in overtime. It also marked the first time Kentucky had suffered a First Round exit under Calipari, and allowed eventual tournament champion Kansas to take the all-time record for most wins in Division I men's college basketball history.
