The Citadel Bulldogs wrestling team represents The Citadel of Charleston, South Carolina. The squad is led by head coach Ryan LeBlanc, and assistant coach Luke Welch. The Bulldogs are members of the Southern Conference and have won conference championships in 1967 and 2004.
The Citadel wrestling team highest placement in school history was in 2013, when they finished 20th in the final NCAA Wrestling Team Championship standings. [2] Vandiver Hall is the practice facility on campus for the wrestling team, while McAlister Field House hosts home dual meets and tournaments, also located on campus. [3] The Citadel has also hosted outdoor matches three times, using the quadrangle within one of the open-air barracks. The most recent such event was a loss to Arizona State on November 11, 2012. [4]
Turtog Luvsandorj (2009–2014) is the career leader in wins at The Citadel with 134, a record he claimed on February 16, 2014, during back-to-back dual match wins over Duke and North Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. [5]
Four Bulldog wrestlers have placed in the top 8 of their weight class to earn All-America honors at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships. Dan Thompson was the first to earn the honor, earning a 7th-place finish at 165 lbs in 2006. In 2013, Ugi Khishignyam finished 4th at 141 lbs, while teammate Odie Delaney finished 7th at 285 lbs. In 2014, five Bulldogs qualified for the NCAA Championships, with Turtog Luvsandorj earning All-American status with a 6th-place finish at 165 lbs. [6] [7]
Ryan LeBlanc is the current head coach. [8] LeBlanc competed collegiately at Indiana University. He is assisted by Luke Welch, who competed collegiately at Purdue University. [9]
Johnson Hagood Stadium, is an 11,500-seat football stadium, the home field of The Citadel Bulldogs football team, in Charleston, South Carolina, United States. The stadium is named in honor of Brigadier General Johnson Hagood, CSA, class of 1847, who commanded Confederate forces in Charleston during the Civil War and later served as Comptroller and Governor of South Carolina.

Anthony L. Jenkins is an American former college athlete, known best as a college baseball player for The Citadel Bulldogs baseball team. He was a member of the 1990 College Baseball All-America Team, chosen by the American Baseball Coaches Association as an outfielder. He later played minor league baseball in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. During his playing days, Jenkins was listed at 5 feet 11 inches (1.80 m) and 175 pounds (79 kg) while batting and throwing right-handed.

The Bulldogs were led by fourth year head coach Chuck Driesell and played their home games at McAlister Field House. They played a member of the Southern Conference. They finished the season 7–26, 2–14 in SoCon play to finish in last place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the SoCon tournament where they lost to Wofford.
Michael Glenn Houston is an American football coach who currently serves as head coach at East Carolina University. He previously won the 2016 FCS championship during his time as the head coach of James Madison. Houston has also served as the head coach of Lenoir–Rhyne and The Citadel.

The Bulldogs were led by fifth year head coach Chuck Driesell and played their home games at McAlister Field House. They played a member of the Southern Conference, as they have since 1936–37. They finished the season 11–19, 6–12 in SoCon play to finish in a three-way tie for seventh place. They lost in the first round of the SoCon tournament to Furman. Driesell was not retained after the season.

The Bulldogs were led by first year head coach Duggar Baucom and played their home games at McAlister Field House. Baucom was previously the head coach at military rival VMI. They again played as a member of the Southern Conference, as they have since 1936–37. They finished the season 10–22, 3–15 in SoCon play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the SoCon tournament to Mercer.

They defeated Western Carolina in the first round of the SoCon tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to UNC Greensboro.

The Inouye Marksmanship Center is a 12,000 square foot shooting range located on the campus of The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. It is home to NCAA Division I The Citadel Bulldogs rifle team, as well as the club pistol team, The Citadel's ROTC programs, and the South Carolina National Guard. The range is named for Senator Daniel Inouye, who secured federal funding for the facility in 2002.
Mike Capaccio is an American athletics administrator, currently serving as athletic director of The Citadel Bulldogs in Charleston, South Carolina. He was named to that position in 2018. He previously served as athletic director at UNC Wilmington for two years, and as CEO of the Brunswick Community College Foundation.
Maurice T. Drayton is an American football coach and former player who is currently the head coach of The Citadel Bulldogs. He has previously coached the Charleston Swamp Foxes, Seinajoki Crocodiles, Goose Creek High School, South Carolina State Bulldogs, Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, Southern Miss Golden Eagles, Montreal Alouettes, Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, and Las Vegas Raiders.
