Dayton is a city in and the county seat of Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. A small part of the city extends into Greene County. As of the 2020 census, the city proper had a population of 137,644, making it the sixth-most populous city in Ohio. Dayton anchors the state's fourth-largest metropolitan area, the Dayton metropolitan area, which had 814,049 residents. Dayton is located within Ohio's Miami Valley region, 50 miles (80 km) north of Cincinnati and 60 miles (97 km) west of Columbus. It is a principal city of the Dayton–Springfield–Sidney combined statistical area, home to a population of 1,086,512.

Clearcreek Township is one of the eleven townships of Warren County, Ohio, United States, located in the north central portion of the county. It had a population of 36,238 in 2020. It was originally about forty-two square miles in area. The highest point in the county is in Clearcreek Township, near the community of Five Points. Statewide, the only other Clearcreek Townships are located in Fairfield County and in Ashland County.

Milton-Union High School is a public high school in West Milton, Ohio, United States. Its name is derived from the town in which it lies, and the township which it serves. It is the only high school in the Milton-Union Exempted Village Schools district. The school's mascot is a bulldog.
Baum Opera House is a historic mansard style opera house located in Miamisburg Ohio, United States. It was built in 1884 by Charles Baum who had originally named it the Star City Opera House. At the time, it was one of the finest opera houses in Ohio. Since the turn of the 20th century, Baum has had many uses, such as a bowling alley, a roller skating rink, a dinner theater, and the site of the first basketball game for Miamisburg High School. It was renamed Junior Hall in the 1940s and hosted several dances. It would later be known as Friendship Hall and served on and off as a dance hall and bar. By the mid 1990s the building sat empty and was bought at a Sheriff's sale. Today the location is very up-to-date and is used as a meeting hall, reception hall, musical event venue. It also contains a small museum for fire fighting paraphernalia and Miamisburg history.

Dayton Christian School System is a private, non-denominational PreK-12th grade Christian school district located in southwestern Ohio. There are two schools in the system: Dayton Christian School, located on its Dayton campus in Miamisburg, Ohio. Dayton Christian Homeschool and LightShine Academy, the preschool program of Dayton Christian School, are located on the Dayton campus. Since 1963, the Dayton Christian School System has graduated over 5,000 students. 1,200 currently attend one of their schools.

Joshua David Myers is an American football center for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ohio State, and was drafted by the Packers in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
At 4:25 pm on July 8, 1986, a 44 car Baltimore and Ohio railroad freight train, traveling at 45 miles per hour, bound south to Cincinnati, derailed near Miamisburg, Ohio, a small city with an industrial history in Montgomery County, southwest of Dayton. Fifteen of the cars derailed on a bridge; these were tank cars containing yellow phosphorus, molten sulfur and tallow. Carrying a chemical used to make rat poison, fireworks and luminescent coatings, one tank car caught fire. This resulted in emission of an estimated 1,000 foot (300 m) high cloud of phosphorus. A subsequent incident caused the largest train accident-triggered evacuation at the time in the United States. The accident was the second major rail disaster in Miamisburg within an eight-year period. On September 10, 1978, 15 cars of a Conrail train derailed.
