In 2009, Millbrook High School was granted International Baccalaureate status by the North Carolina Board of Education. He played college football for the Clemson Tigers. Rembert was a key member of the 1985 AFC champions who played the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XX in New Orleans. He was also selected to the AFC Pro Bowl team twice.

Yarbrough played college football for the University of Florida. A second-round pick in the 1969 NFL Draft, he played his entire professional career for the NFL's Detroit Lions.
