De Anza Force Soccer Club, is an association football club in Saratoga, California, with nearly 80 boys' and girls' teams from under-7 to under-18 level. [1]
Founded in 1999, the De Anza Force has grown into one of the largest American soccer development clubs, with 95% of alumni going on to receive scholarships at NCAA schools. [1] [2] [3] The club has produced over ten players who have gone on to represent the United States at full international level, with numerous others representing at youth level. [1]
The club has over thirty coaches, including former United States internationals Jeff Baicher, Paul Bravo and Brandi Chastain. [1] Former Barcelona academy director Albert Puig has served as technical director for the club. [4]
In 2020, the club was invited to take part in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) at youth level, as well as the MLS Next. [4] [5]
The United States Soccer Federation (USSF), commonly referred to as U.S. Soccer, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the official governing body of the sport of soccer in the United States. Generation Adidas is a joint venture between Major League Soccer and U.S. Soccer aimed at raising the level of young professional soccer talent in the United States. The program, sponsored by Adidas, offers professional-ready players in the U.S. developmental system not yet eligible for the MLS SuperDraft early entry, allowing MLS to compete with foreign professional clubs without comparable restrictions on player signing. From its establishment in 1997 to 2005, the program was sponsored by Nike and was called Project-40. Originally intended to improve the U.S. national team player pool, American national team eligibility is no longer required for program entry.
Ricky Hill is an English football coach and a former player who is the manager of the Turks and Caicos Islands national team. He spent most of his playing career at Luton Town FC for 14 years, while representing England at Senior, U21 and U18 International levels. Hill was the fourth Black player to play for England’s Senior National team and the first British South Asian to represent England at the Senior level. Hill began his managerial career as a Player/Coach with the Tampa Bay Rowdies in 1992 and in that season saw the Rowdies appear in both the League Championship final and the Professional Cup final, in addition to Hill also being awarded ‘Coach of the Year’ amongst other notable player accolades such as Best Passer and All-Star First Team. Spanning 25 years managing various professional clubs across the US, UK, and the Caribbean, Hill made 4 US championship appearances at the professional level, reinforcing his standing as one of the most successful Black coaches in the history of US professional soccer. Most recently, Hill authored Love of the Game – Ricky Hill: The Man Who Brought the Rooney Rule to the UK which was nominated as a finalist for the 2022 Sports Books Awards in association with The Sunday Times (UK).
Jeff Baicher is a retired American soccer forward whose professional career took him through multiple leagues, including the Western Soccer League, American Professional Soccer League, Continental Indoor Soccer League and Major League Soccer. He ended his playing career with the Bay Area Seals of the USL A-League. He earned two caps with the U.S. national team and coaches youth soccer.

Originally founded in 2000. it has since grown into a nationally recognized club with boys and girls teams competing in the Elite Clubs National League, winning several national titles. The club is also affiliated with Crossfire Redmond, a semi-professional team that plays in the National Premier Soccer League.
