Deadbeat Films LTD is a British production company co-founded by twin brothers, Jack Thompson-Roylance and Boris Thompson-Roylance in November of 2014. [1] They, along with their head of production, Anthony Toma, have produced many commercials, music videos, live events, and films over the last decade.

The company is split into four distinct divisions: Deadbeat Films, Deadbeat Studios, Deadbeat Live, and Deadbeat Impact. Deadbeat Films focuses on the production of commercials, music videos, and other content within that realm. Deadbeat Studios focuses on the production of feature films, TV series, and documentaries. Deadbeat Live focuses on filming music festivals, as well as live shows and events. Deadbeat Impact focuses on the human and environmental impact of film production on the contributors involved, as well as the wider community.

The British Independent Film Awards 2022 were held on 4 December 2022 to recognise the best in British independent cinema and filmmaking talent from United Kingdom. The nominations were announced on 4 November 2022 by actors Sam Claflin and Kosar Ali during an event in London. Aftersun led the nominations with 16, followed by Blue Jean with 13 and The Wonder with 12. The ceremony took place at Old Billingsgate in London and was hosted by Ben Bailey Smith.

Hostile is a 2022 documentary film directed by Sonita Gale. The film explores the UK government's 'hostile environment' immigration policy, first articulated in 2012 under the Cameron administration. The film premiered on 29 October 2021 at the Raindance Film Festival.

Scale is a 2022 French animated short film directed by Joseph Pierce. The film debuted at the 2022 Critics Week at Cannes Film Festival and was produced by Melocoton Films (France), in co-production with Bridge Way Films (UK), Endorfilm and Ozù Productions (Belgium). Scale has received several nominations and awards, including a nomination for Best British Short Film at the 2022 British Independent Film Awards and winning the Golden Zagreb Award at the 2023 Zagreb World Festival of Animated Films. In August 2022, the film won the Oscar-qualifying award for Best Animation at HollyShorts Film Festival, and became eligible for the 96th Academy Awards. The film is also in the official selection for the 2024 César Awards.

Brook Driver is a British screenwriter and film director based in London. He is currently the creative director at Deadbeat Films.
