Factsheet Five praised the authenticity of Death Rave 2000 and its fusion of disco and industrial music, calling the album "a happy medium between the two extreme forms of electronic music." [3] A critic at Option said "this compilation seems like a simulacrum of what a collection of good, aggressive rave tracks should be." [4]

21st Circuitry was a record label based in San Francisco, California that was founded in early 1991 and released electro-industrial, industrial rock, and similar styles of music. The label signed a number of artists, including, Covenant, Unit:187, and Xorcist, as well as releasing a number of compilation albums targeted at the industrial scene. Some releases were distributed via other labels, including Caroline Records and Metropolis Records. In 1999, 21st Circuitry shut its doors and its remaining stock was purchased by Metropolis Records.

Re-Constriction Records

Re-Constriction Records was a division of Cargo Music based in California. The label was founded in 1991 and headed by Chase, who was previously the Music Director at KCR, a student radio station on the campus of San Diego State University. They specialized in releasing bands belonging to the industrial, grindcore, electroclash, aggrotech and EBM genres.

Pain Emission were an American electro-industrial group based in San Diego, California, United States. The original incarnation consisted of vocalist Barry Dost, keyboardist Philipp Karger, and percussionist Thomas Patrick Smith, who were assisted by lyricists Shonn Bratlien and Johan Sherriffs in the studio.
