Career

Debaloy Bhattacharya started his career in the Indian film industry as an editor, he made his debut with Shoonya (2006) and later worked as an editor in 033 (2009), which also marked his debut as a writer in a feature film. The editor-turned-writer later wrote screenplay, story, and dialogues for several popular Bengali films including Obhishopto Nighty (2014), Roga Howar Sohoj Upay (2015).

Debaloy Bhattacharya has directed films and TV series, his maiden feature film directorial venture was Roga Howar Sohoj Upay (2015) and his 2018 venture includes Bidaay Byomkesh (2018), a Bengali drama starring Abir Chatterjee, Sohini Sarkar, Joy Sengupta and Rahul Banerjee.

Jisshu Sengupta is an Indian actor, producer, television presenter, who predominantly works in Bengali films, and also in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil films. Sengupta made his debut through a Bengali TV series, Mahaprabhu (1996) where he portrayed the role of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu; the role gained him much recognition. Subsequently, he made his film debut with Priyojon (1999), which became a debacle at the box office. In 2002, he played Rabindranath Tagore in Sukanta Roy's ambitious venture Chelebela alongside Debashree Roy playing Kadambari Devi. following which he appeared in a spate of critically and commercially unsuccessful projects. Arunoday Banerjee, better known as Rahul Banerjee, is an Indian actor works in Bengali language films and television. He made his stage appearance at the age of three with his father's theatre troupe Bijoygarh Atmaprakash play entitled Raj Darshan. Since then, he has acted in almost 450 stage shows, with his father's troupe and with Theatron. He was married to co-actress Priyanka Sarkar. He was catapulted to stardom for his role opposite Priyanka Sarkar in Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, directed by Raj Chakraborty. The film was a massive box-office success. He has subsequently appeared in films including Love Circus, Shono Mon Boli Tomay and Poti Poromesshor. His television debut was in the series Tumi Asbe Bole. Kanchan Mullick is an Indian Bengali film and television actor and politician.
