Muqaddar Ka Sikandar is a 1978 Indian drama film produced and directed by Prakash Mehra, and written by Kader Khan, Vijay Kaul and Laxmikant Sharma. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, in his fifth of nine films with Prakash Mehra to date, along with Vinod Khanna, Raakhee, Rekha, Ranjeet, Amjad Khan in pivotal roles, while Nirupa Roy, Kader Khan gave special appearances. The film tells of the story of Sikandar, an orphan raised in the slums of Bombay. The film's plot is loosely inspired by the Bengali novel Devdas (1917).
Karz is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language romantic thriller film directed by Subhash Ghai, starring Rishi Kapoor and Tina Munim as leads, also starring Simi Garewal, in the critically acclaimed role of Kamini Verma, the murderous wife from the past life, which won her a Filmfare nomination. The film's music was by Laxmikant–Pyarelal, giving successful numbers like Om Shanti Om and Dard-E-Dil, and they went on to win Filmfare Best Music Director Award for this film, the lyricist received two Filmfare nominations for these two hits.
Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai is a 1981 Indian Hindi romantic thriller film produced and directed by Nasir Hussain. The film flopped and Hussain blamed the arrival of video in the early 1980s for the film's failure and that it deserved a better fate.
Des Pardes is a 1978 Hindi drama film, produced and directed by Dev Anand. This family drama stars Dev Anand and Tina Munim, with Ajit Khan, Pran, Amjad Khan, Shreeram Lagoo, Tom Alter, Bindu, Prem Chopra, A. K. Hangal, Sujit Kumar, Mehmood and Paintal in the supporting cast. For the first time, Dev Anand chose comparatively new music director Rajesh Roshan for this film, who did full justice to his selection as most of the songs became quite popular. The film received a Filmfare award for its sets and also received a nomination for best music director. Upon release, the film was an average success. However, over the years, it has garnered a cult following and is regarded as a classic.

Actually, the film shooting started in 1979, but got delayed and later completed in 1994. It was released in 1996. The film was one of many of Vinod Mehra's posthumous releases as he died six years before the film's release.

Himmatwala is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film, produced by G. A. Sheshagiri Rao under the Padmalaya Studios banner, presented by Krishna and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. A remake of the Telugu film Ooruki Monagadu (1981), the film stars Jeetendra and Sridevi in lead roles. Himmatwala on release was a giant commercial success, grossing ₹5 crore, becoming one of the highest grossing Hindi films of 1980s. The film proved to be a breakthrough for Sridevi in Bollywood and launched her to stardom. Her dance number "Naino Mein Sapna" became a rage with Rediff stating that "the water pots may have dominated most frames in 'Naino Mein Sapna', but it was Sridevi's bejewelled outfits and headgears that stole the show".
