The Deepside Deejays are a Romanian band formed in 2008 by vocalist Victor de la Pena, DJ Nick Kamarera, MC Vibearena and keyboardist Dave Pryce. The current lineup consists of Victor de la Pena and Dave Pryce. [1]

Recordings and accolades

In 2009 the Deejays won the Best DJ Award at MTV Romania Music Awards, [2] [3] as well as nominations for Best Dance and Best New Act. In 2010 they won The Best Featuring Award. [4] The Deejays also won Best Dance Project at Nights.ro Awards.

In 2011, the Deejays released the song "Never Be Alone", which quickly became a radio success in Romania and Russia. [5]

Soon after, she started receiving offers from music and film producers which she declined, preferring to sing and write in a punk band, and to do freelance and studio gigs. Adi Cristian Colceru also known as David Deejay, is a Romanian former DJ, Record producer and composer from Bucharest, Romania. He studied violin in primary school. After moving to Bucharest, he worked with several local producers, and in 2007 started with the hit single "Sexy Thing". He subsequently released several singles after the success of Sexy Thing such as Temptation and Fantasy. He is best known for his long time collaborations with singer Dony from the band Refflex. David Deejay is a pioneer of the Romanian popcorn music style.

Andrey Leonidovich Shirman, better known by his stage name DJ Smash, is a Russian DJ in house music and electronic music, and also a music producer. As of 2022, he is one of the most popular musical stars in Russia. DJ Smash was awarded Best New Act in 2008 at the MTV Russia Music Awards.

Constantin Sava, known simply as DJ Sava, is a Romanian electronic musician, DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. He started mixing in the early 1990s and eventually became the official resident DJ of a local club called "No Limit". Popcorn is a subgenre of dance music that originated in Romania in the late 2000s. It is inspired by Europop and dance-pop, featuring house and trance rhythms and fast tempos. The arrangement is characterized by the use of syncopated synthesizers played in staccato, and brass. Instruments such as accordions were eventually also included in several popcorn songs, which were most commonly performed in English.
