Deer Run is an equestrian community in Brevard, Florida, United States known for rural living and its wildlife. The community began when Cavalier Properties Inc. along with Atico Financial Corp purchased the former citrus grove property July 10, 1980 for the sum of $2,715,000. The development was officially completed on January 27, 1983. [1] The community was platted thereafter with 560 lots over 2.5 square miles. [2] There are currently 462 land parcels enclosed within a Homeowners Association. Some parcels have been combined. The lot sizes begin at 2.5 acres. As of 2024 about 185 of the parcels have been developed. Deer Run Community park at 273 Cavalier Street features a community building, picnic area, tennis court, an equestrian arena and riding pen. Deer Run features miles of horse riding trails within the community. [3]

The community which is now Deer Run Community Association began as a citrus grove known as San Sebastian Farms. Development of the area began in the early 1980s with the first home owners building in 1983. The community began to be more noticed when the St. John's Heritage Parkway exit #166 on I-95 was installed in 2019. The area surrounding Deer Run is now slated to be developed on bordering properties. [4]

The Compound, also known as "Street Patterns" or "The Grid", is an area in southwestern Palm Bay, Florida, similar to Flagler Estates. It is a largely undeveloped area of some 200 miles (320 km) of paved roadway in various states of disrepair. General Development Corporation began development of the area in the late 1980s, but went bankrupt in 1991 leading to the developments cancellation.
Canaveral Groves is an unincorporated community in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is a rural area between State Road 528 and Port St. John. The community is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area. There is a lower population density in the southwestern region, with a total of 140 households.
Loxahatchee Groves is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The town was incorporated November 1, 2006, as the 38th municipality in Palm Beach County. The first election for town council members was held on March 13, 2007. The area had been settled since 1917, although Loxahatchee Groves did not become a municipality until 2006. The town bills itself as "Florida's Last Frontier". It was incorporated primarily in order to protect the area from the encroaching urbanization of South Florida, as nearby cities continued to develop and to preserve the area's rural character. The town is part of the Miami metropolitan area. As of the 2020 US census, the town had a population of 3,355.
Citrus Plaza, along with the adjacent and contiguous Mountain Grove shopping center located in Redlands, California, United States, are owned by Majestic Realty Co. It consists of 520,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, anchored by Target, Kohl’s, Barnes & Noble at Citrus Plaza and Nordstrom, Hobby Lobby, Ulta and Nike at Mountain Grove. The Brevard County Library System is a public library system in Brevard County, Florida that coordinates activities between its member public libraries, which collectively serve Brevard County. It is composed of 17 distinct branches stemming all the way from Mims to Micco, with the central administrative and largest of these libraries being the Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library in Cocoa, Florida. It is governed by a board of trustees appointed and funded by the Brevard County Board of Commissioners. Its missions statement is "Brevard County Libraries enables people of all ages to improve their quality of life by providing information and enrichment through traditional resources and new technology." Its vision statement is "We will be recognized as a Library System that excels in providing efficient, modern, accessible and customer oriented services."
Grove Isle is a 20-acre (81,000 m2) island lying off the north-east coast of Miami's Coconut Grove neighborhood. Three waterfront hi-rise residences have been built on the island which were master-planned to include a resort hotel, restaurants, marina, club amenities and services.
The 2018 Florida Commissioner of Agriculture election occurred on November 6, 2018, to elect the Florida Commissioner of Agriculture. Incumbent Republican Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam was term-limited and could not seek a third consecutive term. Democrat Nikki Fried narrowly defeated Republican Matt Caldwell. Fried became the only statewide elected Democrat in Florida, as U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, who had held Florida's Class I U.S. Senate seat since 2000, lost re-election.
