Dejenee Regassa Mootumaa (born 18 April 1989) is formerly an Ethiopian-born long-distance runner who competed internationally for Bahrain. For a time, he was the reigning Asian champion in the 5000 metres.
In his first major appearance outside of Ethiopia, he ran at the 2009 Frankfurt Marathon and finished 20th in a time of 2:15:30 hours. He transferred his eligibility to Bahrain at the end of 2009. He made his international debut at the 2010 IAAF World Cross Country Championships, coming 84th, and placed fourth in the 5000 metres at the 2010 Asian Games. [1]
He was much improved in the 2011 season. He reached 28th place at the 2011 World Cross Country then claimed the Asian 5000 m title at the 2011 Asian Athletics Championships – Bahrain won all the long-distance races that year as a result. [2] He ran a personal best of 13:24.27 minutes for the event at the 2011 Military World Games, finishing seventh, and represented Bahrain in the heats at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics. At the 2011 Pan Arab Games in December he tried out the 3000 metres steeplechase and came fourth in a time of 8:39.53 minutes. [3] He won his first medal on grass the following March, as he was the runner-up at the Asian Championship meet and was part of a Bahraini podium sweep with Alemu Bekele and Bilisuma Shugi. [4]

Tariku Bekele Beyecha is an Ethiopian professional long-distance runner, who specializes in the 5000 metres and has moved up to 10000 metres as well. He is the younger brother of Kenenisa Bekele. He is the fourth fastest Ethiopian ever over 5000 m and 3000 metres. His indoor 3000 m best of 7:31.09 ranks him as the ninth fastest of all-time in the event. He was the 10,000 m bronze medallist at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Eyerusalem Kuma is an Ethiopian long-distance runner, who competes in marathons. She has a personal best of 2:24:55 hours for the distance and was the 2009 winner of the Amsterdam Marathon.
Ali Hasan Mahboob is a Kenyan-born Bahraini long-distance runner. He became a naturalized citizen of Bahrain ahead of the 2006 season. His personal best time for the 10,000 metres is 27:22.40 minutes, achieved in May 2012 in Wageningen.
Nadia Ejjafini is a Moroccan-born professional long-distance runner. She switched nationality from her birth country to Bahrain in 2003, and later became an Italian citizen by marriage in 2009.

Mimi Belete Gebregeiorges is an Ethiopian-born middle and long-distance runner who competes internationally for Bahrain. She won the 5000 metres title at the 2010 Asian Games.

Belaynesh Oljira Jemama is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes mainly in 10K and half marathon races. She represented her country at the 2012 Summer Olympics, the 2013 World Championships and the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 2011 and 2013.

Her personal bests are 2:01.18 minutes for the 800 metres and 4:05.16 minutes for the 1500 m.

He made his marathon debut at the 2012 Chicago Marathon and ran the third fastest ever debut of 2:05:27 hours.
Alemu Bekele Gebre is an Ethiopian professional long-distance runner who competes internationally for Bahrain. He specialises in the 5000 metres and 10,000 metres.
El Hassan El-Abbassi is a Moroccan-born long-distance runner who competes internationally for Bahrain. He was the gold medallist in the 10,000 metres at the 2014 Asian Games and the 2015 Asian Athletics Championships. He has a personal best of 27:25.02 minutes for that distance. El-Abbassi is currently suspended from competition due to an Athletics Integrity Unit investigation following the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
