Delhi Metropolitan Education is an undergraduate college located in Sector 62, Noida. It was established in 2012 and is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. The law college is recognised by the Bar Council of India. [1] [2] [3] [4] The institute provides pro bono legal aid services to the communities nearby the campus. Along with that, the institute helps students who are preparing for judicial services by offering coaching. [5] R K Swami is the director of the institute. [6]

Courses

BBA and BA (JMC) courses use Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. For courses, related to law, Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) scores are used. [8]

Events and conferences hosted

International Media Conference ICAN 2018 was inaugurated at Delhi Metropolitan Education in March 2018. [16] The institute also hosted the National Conference- Mergers & Acquisitions: Legal & Managerial Review in 2019. [17] In 2020, National Conference- Genesis to Terminus of Article 370: Socio-Legal Perspectives was also hosted at DME. [18]

University School of Information, Communication and Technology is a constituent institute of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University accredited grade 'A++' by NAAC located in university's main campus at Dwarka Sec-16, Dwarka, Delhi.

Education is based on three-tier model which includes primary schools, followed by secondary schools and tertiary education at universities or other institutes of same level. Education Department of the Government of Delhi is a premier body which looks into the educational affairs. The RTE right to education states that children from the age of 6 to 14 have to compulsorily be educated. 25% of the seats in all private schools are also reserved for the under-privileged children. Tertiary education is administrated by the Directorate of Higher Education.

University School of Biotechnology (USBT) is a constituent institute of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The school offers a full-time Bachelor of Technology, Master of Engineering, as well as PhD programs.

The Yong Pung How School of Law is one of the six schools of the Singapore Management University. It was set up as Singapore's second law school in 2007, 50 years after the NUS Faculty of Law and 10 years before SUSS School of Law. Prior to its establishment as a law school, the school was a department within the School of Business between 2000 and 2007. The school was known as the SMU School of Law until 2021, when it was renamed after former Chief Justice Yong Pung How.

University School of Law & Legal Studies is one of the constituent schools of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Established in 2001, it is an institution dedicated to law and was the first state government law school in Delhi. It is constantly rated in the top 15 government law schools in India offering a 5-year course. It is also rated in the top five law schools in Delhi NCR. The acceptance rate of USLLS is incredibly low, given the fewer seats and large number of applicants. USLLS was also ranked 12 in the National Institutional Ranking Framework, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
