Demir Turgut (born 30 May 1909, date of death unknown) was a Turkish sailor. He competed in the O-Jolle event at the 1936 Summer Olympics. [1]

Dragut, also known as "the Drawn Sword of Islam", was an Ottoman corsair, naval commander, governor, and noble. Under his command, the Ottoman Empire's maritime power was extended across North Africa. Recognized for his military genius, and as being among "the most dangerous" of corsairs, Dragut has been referred to as "the greatest pirate warrior of all time", "undoubtedly the most able of all the Turkish leaders", and "the uncrowned king of the Mediterranean". Turgut Özal is an underground rapid transit station on the M3 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in southern Başakşehir under Turgut Özal Boulevard. The station was named after Turgut Özal, the 8th President of Turkey. Turgut Özal was opened on 14 July 2013 and has an island platform serviced by two tracks.

Tomris Uyar was a Turkish writer and translator. She was born in Istanbul, the daughter of two lawyers and granddaughter of Republican People's Party politician Süleyman Sırrı Gedik. She was educated at the British Girls' Secondary School and at Arnavutköy American Girls' College, now called Robert College (1961). She graduated from the Journalism Institute affiliated to the Faculty of Economics of Istanbul University (1963).

Turgut Alp, also known as Turgut Bey, is a character in the Turkish TV series Diriliş: Ertuğrul and Kuruluş Osman. Turgut is portrayed by Turkish actor Cengiz Coşkun and Rüzgar Aksoy. The character is based on one of the companions of Ertuğrul, the father of Osman I.
