Early life

Williams attended Basha High School located in Chandler, Arizona. In William's junior season, he completed 68% of his passes for 2,339 yards and 23 touchdowns to just one interception, while also adding 764 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. [1] Coming out of high school, Williams was rated as a four-star recruit and the 19th overall quarterback in the class of 2024. [2] Williams also held offers from schools such as Arizona, Auburn, BYU, Ole Miss, and Purdue. [3] On December 30, 2022, Williams announced his decision to commit to play college football for the Ole Miss Rebels. [4] [5] However just a few months later on July 7, 2023, Williams decided to de-commit from the Ole Miss Rebels. [6] [7] From there, Williams flipped his commitment to play for the Arizona Wildcats. [8] [9]

College career

Williams enrolled early at Arizona. [10] After Arizona coach, Jedd Fisch, left to coach the Washington Huskies, Williams entered the transfer portal and followed Fisch to Washington. [11] [12] [13] [14] He made his collegiate debut in week one of the 2024 season where he completed three of his five passes for 28 yards and a touchdown, while also adding 17 yards on the ground as he helped the Huskies to a 35–3 win over Weber State. [15] In week three, Williams played sparingly versus rival Washington State where he completed three of his four passes for 12 yards, while also rushing three times for 22 yards in a 24–19 loss.
