Australia has competed in every Winter Paralympics. In 1976, the first Games, Australia's sole competitor was Ron Finneran, but he was not an official entrant. In 1980, Kyrra Grunnsund and Peter Rickards became the first official competitors, in alpine and cross-country skiing. The number of Australian athletes increased to three, five, five and six at the next four games, respectively, and all of the athletes were alpine skiers. The participation decreased to four in 1998 and climbed back up to six in 2002. Australia won its first Winter Paralympic medals in 1992, and has medalled at every games since then. All of the medals have been won in alpine skiing.
Wheelchair curling at the 2006 Winter Paralympics was played at the Pinerolo Palaghiaccio, in Pinerolo, 30 km southwest of Turin. Wheelchair curling was making its first appearance at the Paralympic Games and took the form of a mixed team event, open to athletes with a physical disability in the lower part of the body that required the everyday use of a wheelchair.
The Faroe Islands first competed at the Summer Paralympic Games in 1984, and have competed in every edition of the Summer Paralympics since then. They have never participated in the Winter Paralympic Games.
Paralympics Australia (PA) previously called Australian Paralympic Committee (APC)(1998-2019) is the National Paralympic Committee in Australia for the Paralympic Games movement. It oversees the preparation and management of Australian teams that participate at the Summer Paralympics and the Winter Paralympics.
Netherlands competed at the 1994 Winter Paralympics in Lillehammer, Norway. The team included 6 athletes, 5 men and 1 women. Competitors from Netherlands won 4 medals, including 1 gold and 3 bronze to finish 15th in the medal table.
Norway has participated in every edition of both the Summer and Winter Paralympics, except the second Summer Games in 1964. It was one of the seventeen countries to take part in the inaugural Paralympic Games in 1960 in Rome, where it sent a delegation of eleven athletes. Norway was the host country of both the 1980 Winter Paralympics, in Geilo, and the 1994 Winter Paralympics, in Lillehammer.
The 1998 Winter Paralympics were held in Nagano, Japan from the 5–14 March 1998. At the Games, Australia was represented by four male alpine skiers. Australia finished equal 16th of 21 Nations on the overall medal tally. James Patterson, an LW9 standing skier, won Australia's two medals - one gold and one bronze.
Denmark competed at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, Greece. The team included 32 athletes, 22 men and 10 women. Competitors from Denmark won 15 medals, including 5 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze to finish 29th in the medal table.
Denmark sent a delegation to compete at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia from 7–16 March 2014. This was Denmark's tenth appearance at a Winter Paralympic Games. The Danish delegation to Sochi consisted of two alpine skiers, Ulrik Nyvold and Line Damgaard. Nyvold failed to finish either of his events, while Damgaard placed 12th in the women's standing slalom and 15th in the women's standing giant slalom.
Denmark competed at the 2002 Winter Paralympics in Salt Lake City, United States. One competitor from Denmark won no medals and so did not place in the medal table.

United States competed at the 1994 Winter Paralympics in Lillehammer, Norway. 30 competitors from United States won 43 medals including 24 gold, 12 silver and 7 bronze and finished 3rd in the medal table.
Japan competed at the 1994 Winter Paralympics in Lillehammer, Norway. 26 competitors from Japan won 6 medals, 3 silver and 3 bronze, and finished 18th in the medal table.
Slovakia competed at the 1994 Winter Paralympics in Lillehammer, Norway. 11 competitors from Slovakia won 5 medals, 3 silver and 2 bronze, and finished 19th in the medal table.
Sweden competed at the 1994 Winter Paralympics in Lillehammer, Norway. 27 competitors from Sweden won 8 medals including 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze and finished 8th in the medal table.
Denmark competed at the 1992 Winter Paralympics in Tignes/Albertville, France. 5 competitors from Denmark won a single silver medal and finished 18th in the medal table.
The Faroe Islands sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7–18 September 2016. They sent one participant, Krista Mørkøre, who participated in three events in swimming. Her top finish was 10th in women's 400 m freestyle S10, and she did not qualify for the finals of any of her three events.
Denmark sent one competitor to the 2018 Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
