Denver and the Mile High Orchestra (DMHO) is a horn-driven band based out of Nashville, Tennessee. [1] [2] DMHO was formed by a group of friends at Belmont University in 1999. [3] They have traveled across the world, playing at churches, conferences, and festivals. [4] They have performed at two Olympic Games (2002-Salt Lake City, 2004-Athens), and were the house band at the 2005 Gospel Music Association Music Awards. [5] [6] DMHO finished third on The Next Great American Band , a "battle of the bands" reality show that aired on Fox in late 2007. [7] [8] [9]

Side projects

In 2009, various members of DMHO embarked on several side projects. Denver, Jared, Paul, Chris and tony started a side band called Planet VII. [10] Jeff plays keyboards for CCM artist Matthew West. Scott had a small acting role in Hannah Montana: The Movie, as well as main spokesman roles in two network television commercials. Denver, Chris and Justin played horns for pop/rock artist Kelly Clarkson during her 2009 summer tour and are currently involved in her fall tour and Paul Gregory Shearer has been touring with Mandisa. [11] Most recently (2014), Scott Started his own band called "Force Ten" - a Rush Tribute Band where he is the lead vocalist and plays keyboards. Tabou Combo is a Haitian compas band that was founded in 1968 in Pétion-Ville, a suburb of Port-au-Prince. The orchestra has performed throughout the world. Tabou Combo was the first Haitian band to perform in Japan, Ivory Coast, Senegal among others, and were named the "Official Panamanian Band" in Panama due to their popularity, while also becoming the first Caribbean band to have a number one single in the French Hit Parade. Daly-Wilson Big Band was an Australian jazz group formed in 1968 by Warren Daly on drums and Ed Wilson on trombone. The business manager and silent partner was Don Raverty. The line-up, at times, was an eighteen-piece ensemble, that played popular jazz cover versions and originals. Lead singers that fronted the band include Kerrie Biddell, Marcia Hines and Ricky May. They released seven albums and toured Australia and internationally before disbanding in September 1983.
