The Minister of Water Resources Development or Irrigation Minister, officially Minister of Water Resources Development, is the head of the Department of Water Resources Development of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
From June 2014 to May 2019, following the bifurcation of United Andhra Pradesh into the present-day residual Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the Irrigation Minister of Andhra Pradesh was Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao of the Telugu Desam Party. Following the cabinet formation on 12 June 2024, Nimmala Rama Naidu assumed the office under the Chief Ministership of N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Nara Chandrababu Naidu, commonly known as CBN, is an Indian politician who is currently serving as the 13th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He holds the record of longest-serving Chief Minister in the political history of Telugu states. He is the national president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
Nara Lokesh is an Indian politician serving as the Minister of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications and the Human Resources Development departments in the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He is the son of N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and leader of the TDP. Lokesh served as the Minister of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development and the Information Technology, Electronics and Communication departments from 2017 to 2019 while being elected as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) in 2017.
The Janasena Party is an Indian political party active in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Founded by Pawan Kalyan on 14 March 2014, it is currently the second largest party in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and a partner in the ruling coalition. Pawan Kalyan, the party leader, has been serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh since June 2024. Janasena advocates for a centrist approach with a focus on humanism. The chief ministership of N. Chandrababu Naidu began on 1 September 1995 and ended on 11 October 1999, making him the 13th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Naidu was sworn in by the then governor, Krishan Kant. Naidu's second term started on 11 October 1999 to end on 13 May 2004, sworn in by the then governor, C. Rangarajan. After a decade, Naidu's third term commenced on 8 June 2014 and ended on 29 May 2019, during which he served as the chief minister of the bifurcated Andhra Pradesh, sworn in by the then governor, E. S. L. Narasimhan. He is currently serving as the chief minister, sworn in by the current governor, Syed Abdul Nazeer on 12 June 2024.
