Deron Michael McBee (born August 23, 1960) is an American actor and sportsman, known for playing Motaro in Mortal Kombat Annihilation and as Malibu on American Gladiators . [1]
Deron McBee toured the professional racquetball circuit for three years.[ citation needed ]
McBee was an original Gladiator on American Gladiators , performing under the name Malibu. McBee appeared for one season on the show and returning several years later for the live tour.[ citation needed ] McBee is known for (as Malibu) his blond hair, tanned skin, and surfer persona.
McBee has trained in karate at the Billy Blanks World Karate Studio, and hand-to-hand combat and swordsmanship with Anthony De Longis.[ citation needed ]
As an actor McBee has generally been cast in action movies, usually in roles which allow him to use his fighting skills to portray a villain. For example, in Enter the Blood Ring , he portrays the wrestler Gregor.
His most notable film role is that of Motaro in the second Mortal Kombat film, Mortal Kombat Annihilation . In the DVD extras of The Killing Zone, McBee states that he has produced his impressive physique by abstaining from steroids and using a combination of prayer and faith.[ citation needed ]
In addition to film, McBee has had many guest starring roles on television.
McBee was a deputy sheriff with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in the early 1980s. [2]
Deron was married to Drzan McBee, a former professional wrestler and Raiderette, who died in 2003 from a heart attack. She was survived by her two daughters.[ citation needed ] Deron is now mostly involved in Christian ministry and in pursuing his painting passion. [3]

Mortal Kombat Annihilation is a 1997 American martial arts fantasy film directed by John R. Leonetti in his directorial debut. Based on the Mortal Kombat video game franchise, it is the second installment in the Mortal Kombat film series and a sequel to the original 1995 film, on which Leonetti served as cinematographer. Largely adapted from the 1995 video game Mortal Kombat 3, Annihilation follows Liu Kang and his allies as they attempt to prevent the malevolent Shao Kahn from conquering Earthrealm. It stars Robin Shou as Liu Kang, Talisa Soto as Kitana, James Remar as Raiden, Sandra Hess as Sonya Blade, Lynn “Red” Williams as Jax and Brian Thompson as Shao Kahn. Only Shou and Soto reprised their roles, with the other characters from the previous film being recast.

Shou Wan-por, known professionally as Robin Shou, is a Hong Kong-American actor, martial artist and stuntman. Born in British Hong Kong but raised in Los Angeles, Shou's interest in martial arts developed during his years as a University student. This led him to win several championships as a martial artist, both in China and the United States. He entered the Hong Kong film industry as a stuntman in the late 1980's, and went on to star in films such as City War (1988), opposite Chow Yun-Fat, Tiger Cage 2 (1990), opposite Donnie Yen, and Bloody Mary Killer (1993), alongside Cynthia Rothrock.
