The Derwent Pencil Museum is in Keswick, in the north-west of England.
The first pencil factory in Keswick opened in 1832. The second and current factory was started in the 1920s and completed in 1950 and closed in 2007 when production was moved to Workington. [1]
The museum opened in 1981 [2] and is home to one of the biggest colouring pencils in the world, the idea of technical manager Barbara Murray. The yellow pencil was completed on 28 May 2001, is 7.91 metres (26 ft) long, and weighs 446.36 kilograms (984.1 lb). [3]
The museum now receives over 80,000 visitors a year from all around the world. It is particularly popular with visitors from the county of Yorkshire, due to the importance of pencil production for the local economy during the 1930s. The museum features as one of the locations in the 2012 film Sightseers . [4]
In December 2015, the museum was badly damaged by several feet of flood water when the River Greta broke its banks as a result of Storm Desmond [2] and many artefacts were destroyed. Although many of the exhibits were salvaged, one limited-edition collection could not be replaced. [5]
The museum reopened to the public on 15 June 2017, [2] with Countryfile presenter John Craven cutting the ribbon. [5]

John Thomas O'Sullivan is an American former professional football quarterback who played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL), two seasons in NFL Europe and one season in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the UC Davis Aggies, starting for three years and throwing for career totals of 10,745 yards and 96 touchdowns. He was named a first-team All-American in 2000 and a second-team All-American in 2001. He was inducted into the Cal Aggie Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.

Theatre by the Lake is situated on the shores of Derwentwater in the Lake District in Keswick, Cumbria, England. It opened in 1999, replacing the mobile Century Theatre, and was made possible by an Arts Council Lottery Fund Grant. From May to November a resident company of up to 14 actors perform a Summer Season of six plays in repertory. The theatre also produces a Christmas show and two Spring shows. The theatre hosts festivals including the Words by the Water literature festival, the Jennings Keswick Jazz Festival, Keswick Film Festival and events in the Keswick Mountain Festival. In addition, the theatre offers a wide range of visiting drama, music, dance, talks, comedy and film.
Seathwaite is a small hamlet in the Borrowdale civil parish of Cumberland, Cumbria, North West England. It is in the Lake District near Scafell Pike and 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Keswick at the end of a minor road that heads southwest from the hamlet of Seatoller, which is where the B5289 road begins its steep climb up the pass to Honister Hause on the boundary between Borrowdale civil parish and Buttermere civil parish.

He earned various All-American and All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) honors during his college career. His senior season in 2014, he won the Vern Smith Leadership Award, which is given to the best player in the MAC. Mancz went undrafted in the 2015 NFL draft and signed with the Texans shortly thereafter. Due to a season-ending injury to Nick Martin, Mancz was the Texans' starting center for the entire 2016 season.
Steven Longa is a Cameroonian former professional American football linebacker. He played football at Saddle Brook High School in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, where he earned All-State honors his senior year. He played college football at Rutgers, where he was a three-year letterman. In 2013, Longa was named a Freshman All-American after leading NCAA Division I in tackles by a freshman with 123. He was named Third Team All-Big Ten Conference in 2015. He started 37 games during his college career and recorded 342 tackles, which was the third most in school history. Longa forwent his final year of college eligibility to enter the 2016 NFL Draft. After going undrafted, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks. He was released by the Seahawks before the start of the season and was then signed by the Detroit Lions.
Jarrod Wesley Pughsley is a former American football offensive guard. He played football and basketball at Lima Senior High School in Lima, Ohio. He played college football at Akron, where he was a four-year letterman. Pughsley was named Third-team All-MAC his senior year in 2013. He played in 35 games, and started 23 of them, during his college career. After going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, he signed with the Dallas Cowboys. However, Pughsley suffered an injury and was released in July 2014. He was then a member of the Kansas City Chiefs from 2014 to 2016, spending the majority of the time on the practice squad. He played in two regular season games and one playoff game for the Chiefs in 2015. Pughsley was signed to the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad in November 2016 and was released by the team before the start of the 2017 regular season.
