Plot
A recently engaged man (Roberts) comes to visit his fiancée (Lane)'s future father-in-law (Scott) and gets to know him better, when he unearths clues that the man may have been a Nazi collaborator and mass murderer.
Michael is repeatedly accosted on the street by Bercovici, who claims that he is a survivor of the massacre in Romania that Florian took part in. Michael seeks comfort in the apparently benevolent advice of Bishop Dancu, who takes Michael into the bowels of the church to show him a "secret report" that Florian had been investigated and cleared by the FBI.
Looking up Sam Murray, the reporter who wrote old expose' stories on Florian; Michael discovers he had been brutally beaten and crippled by unknown assailants. Murray snorts that ex-Nazi's had an easy time getting into America after WW2 as long as they claimed they were "Anti-Communist",citing scientist Verner Von Braun as an example.
Michael also discovers that Florian's wife(Irina's mother) had discovered the truth and Florian had her placed in a mental institution; where she eventually commmitted suicide.
Irina, who had been told her Mother deserted the family,refuses to accept the truth. Hoping to convince her, Michael uses the cover of a church meeting to break into Bishop Dancu's file room to search for evidence; with Sam Murray as getaway driver.
Michael is discovered,and armed bodyguards fire at him; hitting and killing Irina. The police arrive and arrest the bodyguards. Florian, even if he escapes prison, has experienced something even his tiny conscience cannot ignore.
Diane Lane is an American actress. She made her motion picture debut in George Roy Hill's 1979 film A Little Romance. Later she acted in the movie Streets of Fire (1984). Lane returned to acting to appear in The Big Town, Lady Beware and western miniseries Lonesome Dove (1989), for which she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. Victor and Nikki Newman are fictional characters and a supercouple from the American CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. Victor is portrayed by Eric Braeden and Nikki is portrayed by Melody Thomas Scott. Together, they have shared three marriages and two children; Victoria and Nicholas Newman. John Jacob "Jack" Sugden is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Emmerdale. The character was originally played by Andrew Burt from 1972 to 1973 with a brief return in 1976, when the actor left for Italy to write a book. On his return in 1980 he was played by Clive Hornby. Hornby remained in the role until 2008 when he was forced to take a break from Emmerdale due to illness. His last on-screen appearance was on 21 February 2008, and his absence was explained by the character visiting his mother, Annie Sugden in Spain. Although Hornby was intended to return, he died from his illness in July 2008 without returning to the programme. Jack was written out following Hornby's death, dying off-screen of a heart attack in February 2009.

Diane Jenkins Abbott is a fictional character from the American CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. The role was first portrayed by Alex Donnelley, who debuted in April 28, 1982. Diane was initially a two-day bit role, but was developed into a long-term character. Donnelley left the role two years later, returning briefly in 1986 before returning again fully in 1996. In 2001, Donnelley left again in what was supposed to be a storyline-dictated departure, however, the role was later recast with Susan Walters. After three years, Walters chose to drop to recurring status in 2004, but wasn't seen again until a brief guest appearance in February 2010. Seven months later, the role was recast a second time with Maura West, who took over in October; she exited in August of the following year. In March 2022, Walters returned to the role.
Jerald "Jerry" Aloysius Jacks is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital. He was portrayed by Julian Stone from April 10, 1998 to December 14, 1999. In January 2007, the role was recast with Sebastian Roché, who was initially introduced as a terrorist named Mr. Craig, with his true identity remaining hidden until a few months later. Roche has held the role sporadically since, with his latest arc occurring from August to September 2012. He returned for one episode on December 18, 2012 and made a second return for multiple episodes starting September 30, 2013. After last appearing on December 3, 2013, Roché made several guest appearances throughout October 2014. He once again reprised the role of Jerry on December 10, 2015.
Jack Branning is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Scott Maslen. He made his first appearance on 29 October 2007. He is the youngest child of Jim and Reenie Branning and the brother of April Branning, Carol Jackson, Derek Branning, Suzy Branning and Max Branning. The character was introduced to the show during a period when EastEnders was being routinely criticised in the media for its reliance on resurrecting old characters. The casting of Maslen provoked some controversy, being the first time an actor had been poached from one mainstream soap to another. It was quickly established that Jack is a morally ambiguous character with a murky past in the police force resulting in the paralysis of his young daughter, Penny. Castiel is a fictional character portrayed by Misha Collins on The CW's American fantasy television series Supernatural. An Angel of the Lord, he first appears in the fourth season and is used to introduce the theme of Christian theology to the series. In the series, Castiel brings Dean Winchester back from Hell and frequently helps him and his brother, Sam, in their battles with various demons and angels along the way. During his travels with the Winchesters, Castiel develops friendships with both men. As an angel, he possesses a number of supernatural abilities, including the ability to kill demons. Initially, the character demonstrates complete devotion to God and little emotion. However, his interactions and experiences with Dean and Sam, as well as certain revelations about God and his fellow angels, have a humanizing effect on him. This, despite the stress and harm it causes his character, allows him to develop an independent will as the series progresses and helps the show address topics related to free will.
